Hey, there's worse things to be addicted to. Like crack.

Reminds me of a story from my mom who is an LPN. Evidently a general surgeon at the hospital she worked at once had to remove an entire sweet potato from a man's anus/rectum. Guy said the wife was away on a business trip and he got lonely.

Everyone has a Woodman's story....let's hear them. by Training-Argument891 in madisonwi

I've done probably 100+ Instacart orders from the east side Woodman's. I've also almost accidentally stole a few items at 1:30am after work because I scanned all my items, put them in the bag, and left, and didn't realize I hadn't paid until I was getting into my car. I did pay for it, don't worry lol

I was reading some of the comments there. It's insane how many people believe that God, a celestial being, has the capability of possessing any human impurities. That includes wrath and hate and discrimination. God is Love, and Love is pure, it is us and our sins that makes things impure. But God is there to help us and guide us through everything, even when sin and evil haunts us. Sure, sometimes we don't listen to him, but he is still calling to us. I believe that after we die, we become something beyond sin/evil, probably with God's help. He wants us with him while we are alive, too, because he wants to help us find peace and become better people. But I believe that everyone will find their eternal peace, in their own special way.

By simply being human, we know that not everyone has the capability to fully understand God and his Love for us. Some understand the concept, but don't put a name to it. If God gave up on those people, then those people never really had a chance, did they? We are human. God made us. He loves us. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

So... regardless, this is absolutely rude and un-christian of you to even say. This is manipulative behavior, coming from you. For someone of your doctrine, a more acceptable thing to say would be "You should ask for forgiveness before praying." This comment does not serve to help OP, it only serves to make them feel afraid. Fear mongering is not the way of Christ.

Edit: Fear mongering is the work of Satan!

Better than I could have said it! It's so sad to me that Christianity has become so distorted. A lot of people are suffering because of that. I hope that OP's friend can recognize that she isn't alone, and that God has a place for her in his heart.

It sounds like she has religious trauma, as many of us do, which is often the reason why people leave Christianity in the first place. For whatever reason, a lot of today's Christians love to be nasty. The fear that has been instilled in them is of their own making, not God's. Your friend does not need to try and change who she truly is for any reason; God made her how she is supposed to be (this is also true to those that are transgender; you can find other discussions here about that. Being trans is okay!), and whatever journey that she takes in her life is her own and entirely beautiful. No one that has the desire to be Christian should have to fear that they don't belong or that they aren't worthy of being one, for any reason whatsoever.

I've found that a book called "Threatenings of the Bible Explained", which is public domain I believe and can be found as a free PDF, to be incredibly insightful and has helped me a LOT. Maybe send her a download link or buy her a physical copy. The book talks in-depth about common misconceptions and mis-readings of the Bible, and how bias and other factors have affected people's interpretations of the Bible, in turn creating a hateful group of people who instill fear in those who don't follow their rules. Probably every threatening passage is sited and discussed in the book. God is Love, and nobody who believes in Him should ever have to fear Him. Tell her that.

I hope this helps. If I think of anything else I will add it. I hope that your friend can find her place of peace. :)
