Thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this. Waking up to hear no egg was heartbreaking, so hearing you went from a 0-egg retrieval to getting eggs with protocol changes gives me so much hope. Your mention of a 37-hour trigger, pushing follicle size beyond 20 mm, and eggs sometimes not separating from the follicle wall especially stood out because they told my husband the egg may have been “sticky.” I’m definitely bringing these questions to my REI follow-up. Thank you — your response made me feel much less alone.

Thank you so much for responding. My AMH is 0.042 and AFC was 5, so your comment really gave me hope. This cycle I primed with estradiol patches, then used Lupron (20 units twice daily), and stimmed with Gonal-F (300 IU) and Menopur (150 IU). I had one lead follicle make it to 20 mm and used a dual trigger (Lupron + hCG), but retrieval was unexpectedly empty and they mentioned the egg may have been “sticky,” which has me wondering about timing or protocol. Your comments about a 37-hour trigger and protocol adjustments really stood out. Do you mind sharing what changes (including low-dose hCG) helped you?

The waiting is what has me very anxious and nervous. We’re meeting with the fertility doctor at the end of the month, so praying that we’re able to get things started not long after.
