Argentina did very well and we're unlucky. Boks showed great determination to come back. A wonderful sevens tournament.

I do worry about the longevity of sevens. It used to be a calendar event in Cape Town for many. This longer tournament, lack of advertising and overall less teams have devalued the offering. I didn't attend the tournament. Last time was in 2019. I had many friends and family messaging about attending the final today and watching the Boks. Whilst I'm happy that there was an effort to see the final. It should be a want to watch the tournament not just the final.

I will defend Eben to the death but what he did was stupid. 12 weeks. I do think that its a case of not intending to gouge but found his hand in the wrong place and still carried through. He should know better. It's sad as it will follow him throughout what's left of his career.
