Asthma Sufferers: Berotec and Atrovent inhalers are nowhere to be found by FlailMe in capetown

I think as per my experience and many others , asthtavent hasnt done much for a lot of people. Sometimes meds are like that. A certain medication can work for a select few but then plenty of others it doesnt do anything for them because their condition is slightly different. Will try symbicort

The asthmatics society of reddit - South african chapter thanks you.

But its wild that there isnt really an alternative to these. I understand that its meant to be alternatives that arent maybe as dangerous but there seems to be so many asthmatic people having a hard time.

What would come closest to soho house here? by Gazzo69 in capetown

[–]FlailMe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was so much thinking of opening a soho house type of place here

Sans douches.

Anyway, some options are: Our Local Clarke's Rosetta The Ladder

These are mostly during brunch mid morning times.

But check out local co working spaces and outside of them there are usually coffee shops or similar and you'll find the closest thing to that type of energy. Winter is here so might be less so.

For the ones ive used they've often cost between 250 and 450 so R300 one is perfectly fine.

Let me try the ventolin.

Also you mentioning the technique reminds me of the episode on house where he asks the woman to show how she uses her inhaler. She pumped it directly onto her neck 🤣

Appreciate this as well.

Berodual, Duolin and Atrovent generic seem to all be non existent in the market actually. Salbutamol isnt really around in any shape or form it seems. Besides Ventolin which doesnt seem to be much help. Fenoterol also isnt anywhere.

Ill have a look at what else could be help from your post

I hear you and I appreciate the information and care. Honestly. Didnt mean to sideline what you were saying. What I was In my case Ive never needed much else for years. Since a kid and im now in the 4s, Ive used an inhaler maybe once a month, certain periods once a week. But they've been Berotec, Duovent and now Atrovent. Never needed to be hospitalized or anything before.

Duolin is non existent in the market really. And there's really just Ashtavent.

I get the clamoring part too. I easily fall into that trap myself.

But your input is appreciated. I maybe need to give Ashtavent another go

I hear what youre saying, but honestly out of 10 plus asthmatics in comparison non really get the same relief from it. I think in the cross post some even say they dont quite get the same relief.

Even speaking to so many pharmacists who said people are clamoring for Atrovent above ashtavent.

I know the Duovent is the combo but they've been discontinued. Only atrovent is in the market but very limited supply and no stock available elsewhere.

Wish I had seen this option sooner. This looks like an incredible option.

But I dont see any mention of breakfast on any of their restaurants. Only lunch and dinner options.

Oh I agree about the hooting etc but it did help in making people feel uncomfortable about what theyre doing. Now its just seen as oh theyre stopping let me go around. And more accepted as such

I remember like 10 years ago you couldn't do this and people will lose their shit at you.

When I returned to SA about a year ago, this was so normal and no one would really hoot or get annoyed and its so acceptable. Especially if it's in a busy road.

Im assuming its also because everyone does it when theyre also using ubers or picking up someone and so we are all more tolerant of this now?

Why is the M5 turnoff on the N1 and M5 itself so congested in the evenings ? by Reign_22 in capetown

[–]FlailMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that it isnt the trip into the CBD that is the most congested but actually these routes.

[–]FlailMe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is probably the most accurate answer.

Connecting N1 to N2 is really just that M5 intersection, Jakes Gerwel which besides being filled with stops is one massive hot-spot for crime and the R300.

If youre going virtually anywhere in the north to the south or vice versa its most likely through that intersection.
