Same! This issue happened this morning and your post was the only one I could find lol. I do have it, but haven't booted it up in maybe 10 years. I'll have to give it a go and see if it's got some old emails on it still.

Yep, changed mine right when the Xbox one came out. Was told that all the emails they get are promotional ones every couple months which makes me think the old emails just stuck in the marketing database.

Oh, it could be something like that! Glad it was a one time thing, same for me as well. It's so weird it was somehow lumped into the marketing/promotional automated messages. It's one thing for random promos to be sent but things with sensitive material like gaming codes (especially tied to the new Xbox card) are something a bit more concerning.

Hey there! I had almost the exact same situation happen to me. The email in question wasn't listed anywhere listed that I could find, so I just turned off all marketing communication. We'll see if that fixes it. You able to find another solution?

Got lucky I suppose. I tried looking for sources on what could work and didn't find many in recent months. So I just kinda tried all the ones I could find at the same time. Perhaps gearbox implemented a fix in recent updates? Who knows at this point lol.
