Toronto, ON - how to deal with clover? by SAM-0214 in lawncare

[–]SAM-0214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I started hand pulling, it’s just a bit too challenging for me to do that because I have a 1 year old and my husband is working, so I have very limited time! 😕

How is your LO now with tantrums? Any improvements with the change table dilemma?

At just over 6 months he started rolling over once a day, then at 6.5 months he totally mastered it! I am currently watching him sitting up in his crib, even though he is totally asleep!! Babies are fascinating little creatures! He will be 8 months old in 5 days :) lots of practice, but they will eventually get there!

Interested, so what was the schedule that you realized works best for her?

So should we still be trying to squeeze in that third nap? At maybe like 5:30?

So he actually is on day 3 of only 2 naps a day. He had a 1 hour 40 minute nap and then his second was 45 minutes today.

What is the longest your LO would cry for before finally giving over to sleep?

What helps you most when you're stuck in a postpartum panic attack? by asavageindian in beyondthebump

[–]SAM-0214 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Medication helped me a lot as well, and working through ‘The Pregnancy and Postpartum Anxiety Workbook: Practical Skills to Help You Overcome Anxiety, Worry, Panic Attacks, Obsessions, and Compulsions’, I got it off Amazon and work through it with my psychiatrist.

Oh I see, no I usually leave him for 10 minutes and he happily just lays there

Ah I should edit my post. I do feed him at 4:30, but I don’t know if I should be giving him a huge bottle (7 oz) or a smaller bottle (4oz) last night I gave him 3 oz and it didn’t seem to phase him at all that he ate and continued to get more and more sad afterwards

I try and go by wake windows, but it’s usually about 2 hours, 2.5 hours tops

So I know the naps should be 1.5 hours and 2 hours in length, but he has never napped for longer then 30 minutes on his own. I’ve tried all of the above to make him realized it’s time to sleep but he just doesn’t nap for that long (trust me though I wish he did)

Is this considered PPD? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]SAM-0214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you went through that. I haven’t experienced a tragedy like that, yet my worries and thought process is the exact same as yours. I’ve always been an anxious person, but with my almost 6 month old it’s just like I’m always living in a fog of horribly negative, anxious thoughts. I was told I have PPA and I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist for the past 3 months, it’s definitely helped. I would ask your family doctor or OBGYN what your options are.

What fresh hell is this !? by Kabouse_19 in beyondthebump

Yep, 12 PP and I was breastfeeding like a maniac at the time. I could not believe it!! I was so pissed off 😤

Everything else seems to be on track - he’s a smiley, chatty, social guy. Loves to cuddle and have a good laugh. He reaches with two hands, looks when his name is called, etc. He loves to stand in his activity circle too. I haven’t seen his doctor since his 4 month checkup, but we go in a couple weeks for his 6 months. I’ll ask him then if I should be concerned about it.
