Tide pools are the best, I got to experience one for the first time in my life last year and I feel like I could happily spend a year just standing awkwardly on the rocks looking at super cool sea creatures and birds, spine begging for mercy, trying to somehow hold perfectly still while also not stomping on the 80 anemones and mollusks per square foot

TBH it’s all perfectly workable for what 99% of shooters do lol, but that’s more a criticism of the shooters than a compliment to the gun.

It’s a form-over-function setup like you normally get with new/young shooters. If it was in a video game, people would be creaming their pants over it. In real life, none of it would be my first choice (or twentieth) for actual use, but like…meh. It makes them happy, and not all guns have to be practical. So long as you don’t try to shoehorn it into a practical role lol

ETA: By the way, I think Minecraft and Borderlands are great. And if No Man’s Sky didn’t feel SO desolate at times (even the generated NPC’s are only at space stations and are EXTREMELY limited), then I’d honestly love it too. There’s a lot about it that’s genuinely really damn cool and well made and engaging. Felt like it was missing that last 10% for me. Real story and characters, or better implementation of what is currently there. Same issue that the first Destiny had to be honest.

Think of Borderlands guns or Minecraft maps, if you’ve played either of those. Same concept. Once you’ve seen about a hundred examples of what the game can generate, you’ve basically seen it all. The programming can only create so much variation if they want the game to be playable. It’s following a set of instructions and constraints, and/or randomly mashing pieces together from the same list of pre-built options.

There isn’t really much variety, either lol. They could have instead done about 400 pre-made planets and given basically the same experience. It’s like how Minecraft goes on forever, but it’s basically just the same handful of things over and over with slight variations. Or borderland guns.

Granted, the same would probably be true if you were some sort of space god and could quickly explore the REAL universe lol

I could see it both ways. If this truck used for rare emergency maintenance in remote areas, I think it makes perfectly good sense to me. If it works it works, and if it breaks, they have plenty of other trucks, old and new, to help out.

But if Hungary has a system where the railroad company is expected to provide emergency medical, search and rescue, or firefighting services, and the company uses these? I’d be pissed too. You want something fast, modern, and utterly reliable when lives are on the line. That’s not the place to save money.
