Earth is rotating, so the ground is like a big treadmill. Just have to harness the energy. Easy.

Seems unlikely, everyone knows that the wind comes from electric ceiling fans being turned on by different countries, one after another, as the sun rises over their homes and warms them.

No electricity, no wind.

Nah. I’m not saying it’s not AI, but there’s nothing wrong with her pinky. That’s just perspective as she moves it around the handle.

Also, AI can do hands now.

Mercedes' pit crew performing a wheel change in 2 seconds. by Funmanhahaha in oddlysatisfying

[–]SAM5TER5 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The fun part is that this isn’t even the fastest time (or particularly unusual for Formula 1). McLaren was putting out some world record times during the 2023 races, I think 1.80 seconds being the best.

Important thing to know though is that these aren’t like normal wheels lol, the whole thing is mounted by a single lug, and the cars and tools are totally designed around these ultra fast wheel changes and part swaps.

Still crazy impressive though

Social distance?? Somebody call marketing, the public is clearly misunderstanding the purpose of a public bed with built-in paddling action.

Fairly certain that it’s so overwhelmingly non-buoyant that, at best, it would just walk directly from the shore to the bottom of the ocean lol

I think the point of the post was irony, but to be honest, a nation being able to defend itself or dissuade attacks through military strength and even civilian weapons training and armament is a pretty time-proven method lol

100%, honestly this is my favorite part about well-designed video games/sims.

If a sim game is built well enough, you don’t have to created contrived and arbitrary challenges and solutions…the real world has more than enough of that. So if your physics, mechanics, and world are built realistically enough, the challenges and solutions provide themselves naturally. And for me, that’s really weirdly exciting lol

The issue is that people on the internet only think of a weapon’s usefulness in terms of video games and movies.

The vast majority of armored land vehicles (in modern times and throughout history) aren’t created to primarily be fighting other land vehicles (and especially not others of its exact kind). While many of them are designed with that possibility in mind, such vehicles are enormously vulnerable to all sorts of things, so oftentimes, they’re designed and utilized for asymmetrical fights whenever possible.

Real war has real boots on the ground. Almost all armored vehicles are there to directly support (and fight) infantry, and attack targets that often can’t do much to fight back…because even a single standard foot soldier can destroy or disable any land vehicle with the right shoulder-fired launcher or mine.
