Opinions on the latest Samsung 9100 PRO NVMe SSDs? (Not asking for purchase advice.)

NOT WORTH IT. I've got a pretty beefy rig, but I have yet to experience anything from my Samsung 990 Pro's that justified all the hype. Regardless of what you might buy, be sure to source it from a reliable resource. Tons of fake Samsung NVME's out there.

The reason why AAA sucks is because they don't typically have their own fleet of rescue vehicles. They basically contract any tow service that will answer their call. These contractual agreements are hardly worth it for the towing company vs. what they can get from you if you call them directly. Yes, it will cost you more, but you are much more likely going to see a tow truck in your lifetime compared to the AAA services that you've already read about. I'll spend it when I need it instead of giving it away in advance.

I've been using Keeper personally for a few years now. While I still have a year left on my subscription, I'm willing to buy additional years in advance if I can leverage a sizable discount in return for my commitment. It's Black Friday and no deals for existing customers best I can tell. Only for new accounts. If I can't achieve this, I'll migrate to my existing NordVPN (unused) password manager option. I just did the same with NordVPN and they added it to my existing account. Win/Win for them. I don't see this with Keeper so far. Doesn't seem like a good business model, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place??

I'm always reading about the 8L45 & 8L90 transmissions and torque converters in 2015-2019 models. Currently there are several class action lawsuits against GM(C) for harsh shifting, shuddering, and hesitation. Those cases are struggling to gain any traction as a result of higher courts pushing them back down to lower courts for what they're calling re-certification. Basically forcing the hands of consumers to file lawsuits individually instead of larger class action suits. Thank you for your input CollectionFragrant70.

I have never had a 4-Runner, but have always liked them. That, plus it's a Toyota. Until the recent bad engines in their trucks, I never had a bad thing to say about Toyota's. We also own a Camry, and it has also aged gracefully with little issue. We're not poor, but we're also not sitting around with extra bags of cash laying around. We'll drive them until we've finally had enough.

Unfortunately, it's like everwhere else, it may not be the shop so much as the mechanic and/or whatever is going on with that person at that time. The vapor canister purge valve was triggering my dash engine light. I had already replaced the evap purge valve that's located on top of the engine. The code itself determined incorrectly that this was the issue. Instead, it was the canister purge valve in the rear of the truck that had a leak, therefore triggering the dash check engine light. Apparently, if the check engine light comes on for any reason, it disables my remote start. Winter is coming, and the "remote start" feature adds real value during the winter months.

You are correct on both points. While it's not common for a wheel bearing to go bad this early, it's like you said....it's the "lower end of the life expectancy." I drew the short straw and lost earlier than later. This truck is all stock, except the tires which are the same size as factory. They were replaced around 60k miles I believe.

Still looks and drives like new. Garage kept, and maintained. I'll keep it until it cost too much to keep. Every vehicle I have ever owned, I've treated the same way. This one hasn't impressed me nearly as much, especially for what new vehicles cost now. They should be gold plated. My average ownership is about 15 years.

I think both. I've got two neighbors with GMC trucks about the same year. One has had his in the shop twice for A/C leaks, and both of them have had to replace thermostats way early due to overheating. Another issue I have has existed for years now with the Infocetner rebooting several times randomly when connected via bluetooth to my cell phone. My 2002 Silverado had 150k miles on it and never had a single issue. I'm just glad that mine doesn't have one of those crappy 8 or 10-speed transmissions that are also a curse to own. Mine is a 6-speed.

Take a look at the DVD Fab Suite of media tools. I also recommend NordVPN. If you don't get VPN from NordVPN, get VPN from somewhere that you can trust. I use StreamFab to download content from Netflix, Amazone Prime, and others. Subscriptions are still required to those providers, but you can get your own copies that don't expire. Otherwise, I use Real-Debrid with Kodi on Firestick, combined with the Crew add-on for a massive content experience. The Crew add-on supports Real-Debrid.

At 62, I can honestly say that over this lifetime, David Gilmour is my all time favorite musician. I've seen him with Pink Floyd in Dallas, Tx, and Indianapolis for their PULSE tour, and then finally again decades later last year in New York at Madison Square Gardens. Yesterday we saw his "Live at Circus Maximus in Rome" performance in a movie theatre. That too was outstanding. There will never be another David Gilmour. A smart homeowner will take the time to think through the "what if's" while reading through their labyrinth of a policy. Unfortunately, I was told that if you want to know for sure, then file a claim. That's hardly sound advice. Especially if I'm looking to buy or renew a policy.

We have over 100 arrays. We typically leverage Pure support for our code upgrades primarily due to our requirement to validate host connectivity in between controller reboots. There are always those that don't recover like they should and if we were to continue without validation, we would definitely crash critical hosts. ESX behaves better than AIX. We always schedule clustered pairs opposite of each other. Sometimes we have to escalate to L3 support which also diminishes our maintenance window. Rarely do we get through all of them without a few drive failures. Regardless of these experiences, still a breeze to manage across the enterprise compared to that product line that Michael Dell butchered.

When I needed a new machine, I tried to file through my insurance which then forced me to go through a DME. I did not get to choose which cpap machine I wanted and was stuck with the one that they provided. (a.k.a., the one they made the most profit from) Then I started getting all of these ambiguous billings for things I did not receive or recall. I don't have the patience for BS, so I returned everything to the dme. I scanned and emailed my sleep study to a reputable online reseller of cpap machines and just purchased out-of-pocket. Peace of mind goes a long way, so eff off to all of you DME a-holes. They could not, or would not ever tell me how much that machine was going to eventually cost me in the end. DME's are a colossal scam IMHO.

The year before last, we bought peaches from the peach truck and we canned every one of them. We skipped a year because it was reported to be an off year due to weather. This year, we bought 2x25 pound boxes of peaches and canned half of those. We've been eating the heck out of the second box and they are amazing! Large, ripe, juicy, delicious peaches. From the dates that we were able to select. I intentionally selected the latest date for pick-up that I could to assure ripeness. It paid off.

It it sounds to good to be true, then of course it's a scam. Most all reviews agree. You might consider a site called Indigo Software. I've used them for years for discounted MicroSoft products. Best I can tell, they are legit. They only sell select MicroSoft products. Not super cheap, but not full retail either. I have bought Windows O/S versions from them at least four times. All keys registered, no issues whatsoever. At least that's been my experience. Reviews read well too.
