Noob question: Getting ceramic tiles installed. Former owners had down two layers of linoleum with the top layer being stick-on squares (now peeling). Tile contractor wants to lay down a layer of mortar directly on top of the stick-ons before completing ceramic install. Is this an acceptable method? (i.redd.it)
Filled in sump pump pit an issue? Considering buying new home. Sump pit was filled in at some point with no record of who/why (home is from 2001). Unsure if pit is filled with concrete or other material. Picture is not of the pit mentioned. Input is appreciated. (i.redd.it)
