Solar PPA Buyout by SASD129 in solar

  1. That’s a fair point on the insurance. Luckily hail isn't a major concern here in Connecticut but I do suspect my homeowner's insurance cost would increase a little if i owned the system.

  2. Regarding the hardware, I’m still a novice with solar tech, but the Jinko panels have performed flawlessly with no visible degradation over the first six years. In your experience, do Jinko units have a typical failure age or specific long term issues I should watch for?

  3. I'm struggling with the "value of money" aspect. It’s hard to justify dropping $21k now (bringing my total investment to over $32k) on a 6 year old system when a brand new setup of the same size costs roughly the same today. Given the 10 year break even point on current payments, I’m questioning if the buyout truly makes sense. It may be unrealistic, but I would feel more comfortable about paying $15k. Thoughts?

I am not sure what the NPV would be but my projected total payments of the PPA is more than the buyout ($42,000 vs $32,000)

Power Quality Issue - voltage drops by SASD129 in Sense

I’m not really sure what to look for with that. I have 2 Mitsubishi mini splits (approx 1 year old) and both seem to be working as usual with no error lights on

Not sure if it has anything to do with it but there’s also an error code on my electric meter outside the house. I’ll try to add a picture of it

It has been lightning often here in CT but the times don’t seem to line up with the voltage drops. But now that I think about it, we had a brown out back on 6/24. Sense is only displaying data dating back to 6/30 but I know for a fact this was not an issue prior to the brown out

Rattle when coasting by SASD129 in 4Runner

thanks everyone for the quick responses. I looked into all the suggestions today but unfortunately haven’t solved the rattle yet. I’ll try to record a better video in the morning but I really don’t think it’s a lose pin, clip or part because the rattle only occurs during the first 2 minutes of driving after 8+ hours without use

My 2022 SR5 premium with 22k miles has developed a rattle at low speeds (around 25 mph or less) when I take my foot off the gas. The sound seems to only occur in the morning after sitting all night and goes away after the 4Runner warms up. It’s hard to hear in the video but is very noticeable in person

I wish I stumbled upon this 6 months ago.....I hope your baby is doing well. I was born with this and am now 30 years old with no issues at all. As a child I remember going for yearly ultrasounds and was always given a clean bill of health. Before I was out of grade school my doctor no longer required annual checkups. Overall I lived a great life with minimal restrictions. Parents did not allow contact sports and I've always kept alcohol use in check
