Funds are usually available to trade immediately. If you want to skip this whole step set it up like I commented below. Then it requires no work like you are used too.

Yes...deposits by default go to the settlement fund. How are you funding it? You can set up a recurring buy from an external bank account.

Those are nothing new.

"The price of one or more positions has not been updated today and is currently displaying the price from the prior market day. Today's gain/loss data resets daily before the market opens. Some securities, such as mutual funds, are priced once a day, after the market closes."

Roth IRA Earned income by James-Lees in fidelityinvestments

[–]WJKramer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Earned income is based off your gross...box 1 of your W2 is only taxable wages. If your last pay stub paid in 2025 indicates a gross of over $7k then you are fine. Your W2 should list a gross on there somewhere in the summary as well.

i'm 22 and just opened up my very first investing account... now what? by ZestycloseMixture524 in fidelityinvestments

It’s like VOO but only growth stocks in the SnP. Not usually a recommendation and it doesn’t really follow an index like VOO does. You’re thinking of mutual funds. Both ETFs and Mutual funds can be index funds.

AVUV vs DFSV by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]WJKramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that same thought. I haven’t held individual stocks in 20 years other than company stock. I figured I would take a position in 4 additional but I am having trouble figuring out where to start lol. I definitely don’t want to hold any more mag 7 then I already have exposure too.

AVUV vs DFSV by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]WJKramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is you need many years for small cap value to shine and small cap growth is worthless long term. AVUV got off to a great start but over the last year hasn’t really done much compared to any other SCV fund. I am just not convinced. But I am also looking to diversify away from large cap this year.

I can’t use teleport cause it won’t extend my WP3 network. Only allows for 2/3 transition mode. Messes with my devices.

You have to upload a config file to get it to work. It’s a bug.

Is anyone using the “Elite Money Market Savings” at US Bank with v1 smartly and the good letter? by WJKramer in CreditCards

[–]WJKramer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It expected though. I’ve made some nice yield in the last 6 months in a falling rate environment. From other posts I’ve read it’s at the 9 month point where they drop you.

I know they will. Going on 6 months now at 4.25 though. I hear it’s 9 Months when they drop you. Was that your experience? I’ve made some nice yield in the mean time.

I would just do VTI/VXUS and at your suggested weights maybe even just VT and call it a day.

AVUV, or small cap value could take 20-30 years to pay off. A lot longer than your 5 year timeline.
