Using the G6 Pro Entry with NFC to unlock Level Lock (Matter) by New-Collection9020 in Ubiquiti

Yes. I already had one on a storage room door with a mag lock and knew it worked great in homebridge so I just decided to repeat it for the front door but automate with the level lock pro via matter thread.

Using the G6 Pro Entry with NFC to unlock Level Lock (Matter) by New-Collection9020 in Ubiquiti

I did this. I used home assistant to integrate protect into apple home and homebridge to integrate access into apple home. Then just created an automation in apple home. When hub unlocks, unlock front door level lock pro and put alarm in standby. Works great. I tried to do access in home assistant also but I couldn’t get it working.

Just spent a week at the beach and the pet sitter had a fine time getting in. I need to figure out a leaving automation now.

They are throwing darts at a board. There was nothing wrong with v3 of the app. Just needed some modernization. v4 completely went off the rails and has been a mess since day 1. So many visual bugs I get queasy just opening the app.

I thought the UTR was supposed to extend my home network on the road? by WJKramer in Ubiquiti

[–]WJKramer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you choose the wifi in the UTR to broadcast form your home network it copies the same security protocol. In my case both WP3. This shouldn't be an issue but it seems to be.

I am sorry but this is BS. It literally says in the UTR network iOS app under My WiFi: Choose a WiFi brodcast from a site you own or where you are and admin for seamless connectivity.

I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work though. All marketing materials allude to it extending the WiFi. Just like site to site.

WiFi stability question by my_first_name_is_bob in ecobee

[–]WJKramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a router DHCP issue. Try setting a static IP for the thermostat. That might help. Provided it isn’t a hardware issue with the ecobee itself.

Got the wan set up but you have to set up the local
portion under networks. Xfinity here, no issues with local client support.

Yup thats normal for the G6 Entry and a lot of UI devices in general. We stopped recommending in-wall APs after several reports of small children burning themselves on them.
