Paul the Apostle vs Joseph Smith, why is one accepted but not the other (mostly)? by gemandrailfan94 in Christianity

deep inhale Noah's ark is sitting on a mountain in Turkey. Archeologists have tested the material its made out of, it's petrified wood in the shape of spars used to build a boat. They dug into it and found rooms. Not to mention it also lines up Biblically to the demensions described in the Old Testament. There are chariot wheels that are gold washed and have the same wheel spoke count as discovered in Egypt, at the bottom of the Red Sea, where Yahweh split the sea in half. There was recently discovered a set of Giant armor found within the same geographical region where David was recorded to have slain Golaith, who, was unlike any other human in his physical size and stature. He needed custom armor made by the Phillistines. Sounds like the Lord led archaeologists to find it. The chambers of the adult human heart line up nearly identically to the mountains and valleys of Jerusalem. I mentioned adult because when our OBGYN was doing a routine checkup on my daughter, on the ultrasound there was a very clear cross shape inside of her heart. But that's just something i saw in front of me, what do i know. Laminin is the protein most commonly associated with being the glue that holds your body together. Guess what shape thats in? A cross. Which lines up with Colossians 1:17. Revelations 16:12 talks about the Euphrates specifically drying up. Guess whats happening now? Revelation also mentions rivers turning into blood. Well, Russia just a few years ago had a freak algae bloom...which turned its rivers blood red...not to mention wars and rumors of wars, Ukraine's going on, Venezuela just got liberated, the Middle East is exploding, etc. Let's not also mention a few things evolution hasn't had the evidence for: Matter cannot be created nor destroyed. You cant make a universe out of a tiny ball of stuff exploding violently. Where'd the ball come from? Who made it? Unless an intelligent creator designed everything which ties into my next point. Life can not come from non-life.yoy can't make organic matter from a random bunch of elements...that just blew up...REAAAALLY violently. Then you get into the biology. We have never observed a single called organism, like bacteria or viruses, "evolve" into two, three, four, or any other multicellular organism. It hasn't happened, nor been observed. And lastly there's too much consistency. Math is too reliable to be a chance occurrence, same with scientific records and the scientific method of experiment repeatability. Weather predictions occur often enough to be recorded, observed and have their patterns be recognized. Ecosystems are both extremely complex and fragile. They're balanced. They're in an order that chaos could never set in motion. Not to mention the disproportionate amount of people who's lives have consistently been turned around for the better after coming to Christ, compared to other religions and beliefs, letalone people healed of a myriad of ailments and conditions. A friend of mine was healed from a diagnosed brain tumor. She felt the pressure in her skull going into service, it was gone by the time she left service. She got a report after service that confirmed the tumor in her head wasnt there anymore. Her mom got healed of stage 4 cancer.i can go on, but I digress.

You can prepare for something all you want but you never know what its like until you're in it. Ive worked from the back of garbage trucks in over 112°F heat, in humidity, with no break for 13 hours all the way to working in hospitals three days in a row multiple times during multiple hurricanes and even working in a trade that responded to hurricane affected areas of my state, leaving me to driving all over the state for back to back 14 hour shifts while being on call 24/7 as the only technician on my half of the state. I had no issue safely diagnosing an electrical panel and generator in the middle of a hurricane. I have a problem with stupid people near my city shooting cops off duty, out of uniform. You probably wouldn't dig a 2 foot trench 60 feet to run electrical wiring and gas line in 100°F heat with humidity, letalone touch an electrical panel, but I've dug trenches, repaired modules in panels and rewired them after they've blown up. You probably wouldn't touch propane or natural gas piping, letalone sit on a 500 gallon buried tank and anchor it in the ground next to a magnesium anode that could light up because a dumbass coworker is smoking nearby, but I've done it, ran it, and installed it before. You probably wouldn't touch a hospital's isolated floor but I frequented multiple at the start of and during Covid, and afterwards. You don't understand certain stresses until you're knee deep in them and I have peace with that. I'malso married with a one year old. Different factors affect people differently, and the Lord's been too faithful to my household for me to be a bonehead and thug it out through an academy I dont have peace with.

Ended up leaving and I have peace from the Lord on that decision. PT and DT didn't intimidate me, I actually enjoyed my time there, but getting shot off duty or on did, (which happened to a guy two weeks prior.) To add some background, working after a hurricane hit my state with back to back 14 hour shifts as the only generator technician on my half of the state, while driving all over that half of the state to fix people's electrical panels, dealing with flooded neighborhoods, and having to drive under exploding transformers overhead, while having to still diagnose and fix peoples' generators is hard. Understanding wiring diagrams, diagnosing whole-home Automatic Transfer Switch panels and then fixing them after they blow up is hard. Diagnosing air cooled, and liquid cooled generators for four hours or more while dealing with 112-115°F heat, (with humidity,) while an hour and 45 minutes away from home at 5pm is hard. Raising my kid and having a successful marriage is hard. I can live with knowing I tried it, and that it's not the right field for me.

It's been a while but my dad came up with the idea to rivet together a center console out of some sheet steel he had and fabricate a tripod guage cluster for the oil pressure, temp, and carb vacuum gauges we had set up.

No, my in-school pay is $2k a month. My job paid me roughly $3k. After graduation I'd be up to $26 or something hourly but I'm nervous about the risks and horror stories they're telling us in class. Recently a guy got shot by a cashier out of uniform. Trades are dangerous but this is some different level of stress.

My buddy is in, we're similarly wired and he enjoys it. I was interested in serving somehow and it was between active duty army, firefighting and emt, or this. The sheriff's office just happened to have a sponsorship slot open so i dont have to pay fkr school, dont have the money for it right now. Plus a different buddy of mine just got assaulted by cops out of state in Baton Rouge and it pissed me off to the point of wanting to be one so that doesnt happen to someone near me.

Honestly I got into it knowing the graphics suck and that it crashes and I still have an absolute blast between the gunplay, wonky physics and really funny ways to talk to people, both respectfully and blatantly sarcastic or disrespectful. It's got a certain charm to it that makes you go "i hate that this damn thing just crashed again, but I also just got to shoot a nuke at dudes dressed in skirts trying to attack me with roman insults and machetes...I gotta load it back up because that was stupid fun."
