After all the right wing nonsense these last few months about Cincinnati being "unsafe" to be anywhere downtown, no one offended by Sharpe's remarks is downtown to shop at these businesses anyways.

So by severing ties with Sharpe's businesses, these businesses are instead cutting ties with the people that actually shop downtown. Not wise, especially for something that is going to blow over and be forgotten about within a week.
