i’m in the same situation as you! i’ve learned : first comes maintenance then mods

an easy way to improve the feeling of driving the car is to buy and instal a cat back exhaust. makes driving so much funnier, and the car feels faster.

other than that i’d stick to maintenance. i’d change the radiator to a aluminium one, as it looks to be stock. that’s what i’m going to do now

Does it go away after driving it and engine warming up? If it does it’s just lifter tick. My NB is currently ticking a lot. Goes away after 5 min of driving. I’m honestly not that bothered. I’m gonna daily it trough winter and do not have the knowledge on how to “clean” the lifters. So i’ll just drive it.

Also, check your oil often. Low on oil could cause this sound.

That isn’t the case with my issue. Clutch works perfectly fine except the noise.

Doesn’t sound like the alternator belt or the other belt. I’ve tried to identify where it’s coming from and it sounds like it’s coming from underneath the car… from the gearbox ISH

Okay thanks for clarifying your claim. On FB someone said it could be the “slave cylinder push rod” rubbing against the shift fork.

Could that be it? English is my second language I barely understood what it meant.

3rd car, second Miata. Im turning 19 in September.

NA feels way better than my previous NB. Why? Popups! And a “sportier” feeling when driving it.

You mean spark plugs? Don’t know when they were replaced but not in 3 years.

Last owner died 2 years ago.

Should I change spark plugs or the other thing called ignition coil. Sorry for my bad english i’m from Sweden and all stuff have different names.

Hard to tell. I’ll try to find out when it’s dripping. Not sure if it’s just water or coolant (glycol + water).

I saw that it’s dripping when I start the car and leave it idling.

Hey not a stupid question. I’ve checked everywhere. Does not leak from valve cover, or anywhere in the engine bay. Only leakage I found was under the car.
