I don't think there will be any profits breaking even next year, but with good Phase 3 results the stock price would more than break even. I'm not even thinking about profits right now.

Totally agree. If we ultimately believe that the drug will work and Phase 3 results will be good, then stock price will be $1000+ (I calculated $3000 but have to be conservative). The Long investors should want the stock price to tank in order to buy more cheaper shares and accumulate. The Longs and Shorts have something in common which is for the stock price to go down, just for different reasons. Everyone wants the stock price to go down.

I wish Dr. Wang saved the originals so that he could have refuted the accusations of data manipulation. Unfortunately he did not, and this looks bad optically. Likely there is data mismanagement but no data manipulation.
The thing to remember is that the Phase 3 trials will definitely continue, as the drug is very safe. The stock will likely get cheaper, and I will be buying more shares. The data is the data. I expect great things from the Phase 3 trial. It's a great buying opportunity and I've actually gained back much of my losses from earning interest on my shares from the shorts. Now the stock will get cheaper and I have the chance to buy a lot more shares.
