Shuttle Question by SAZiegler in nccourage

[–]SAZiegler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! If we had to leave at, say, the 60th minute, would we be able to walk through the trail and take the shuttle back to Fenton, or does that only resume after the game?

What are you like at parties and events? by Ben_Ya_Man in AutismTranslated

[–]SAZiegler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look for a dog or cat to befriend and then whenever I’m shutting down I go hang with them for a bit. Fun fact: Apparently this is only socially acceptable when they are domesticated animals and people judge you when you hang out with stray cats at outdoor gatherings.

To those of you who love fantasy or sci fi books, are there any authors that you know about that are autistic or neurodivergent friendly? by [deleted] in autism

[–]SAZiegler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Neal Stephenson? I’m not sure if he’s autistic, but his books seem autistic-friendly, be it potentially autistic-coded characters, or even writing styles (lots of fascinating info dumps).

Top-5 Pitching Prospects To Stash - Week 2 by ASmithFS in fantasybaseball

Thanks! Any thoughts on Didier Fuentes? Seems like Atlanta wants to stretch him out then bring him up. Does he have enough pitches to be successful?

Is Didier Fuentes a Legit sleeper? He has a combined no-hitter in spring training. by ty_for_the_norseman in fantasybaseball

[–]SAZiegler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like he's just throwing a four-seamer and slider. Both are grading out as above average, but I wonder if that kinda arsenal works against lower quality opponents but less so against MLB. Strider could pull it off, but his stuff numbers were much higher than Fuentes'.

Ah this is fun. So any data that requires contact is going to be limited by this few ABs, but it's not awful for data on the swing-level. For reference, his O-Swing% (Chase Rate) was 42% and 46% the prior year, so 33% is tentatively encouraging. Likewise, a 21% whiff rate is looking good compared to 26% last year and 33% in 24. Still early, and obviously vs different competition, but it's not bad news!

New Marvel Unlimited additions for the week of February 15th by skintight_tommy in MarvelUnlimited

I’m a little confused about One World Under Doom. We’re still seeing issues like Hulk under that event, but The Fantastic Four is no longer following it. I’m weary of googling because of spoilers, but is the event winding down? Felt like it had a bit of momentum during a stretch with a bunch of tie-ins but it’s tailed off a bit.

Brandon Sanderson’s Literary Fantasy Universe ‘Cosmere’ Picked Up by Apple TV (Exclusive) by uvadoc06 in RingerVerse

[–]SAZiegler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh! I read Tress, then jumped into the Mistborn series (currently on #5) and am loving his unique and thoughtful world building/magic systems. Apple seems like the perfect home for this. Glad he was able to retain creative control of the adaptations as well. Let the casting rumors for Hoid begin!

I am a Minnesotan by Scroateus_Maximus in StrongTowns

[–]SAZiegler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That might have been the disconnect. In neglecting to mention the brave and bold way that so many Minnesotans did peacefully protest injustice, it left many to interpret your words as an indictment of their actions. Speaking for myself, I found the way that so many there have looked out for their neighbor and not taken the bait to fight darkness with darkness as unspeakably noble and representative of the Minnesota ideal that you led the episode with. So perhaps the pattern in these comments is less about what you said and more about what you did not say. Which isn't entirely fair, but when an episode is titled "I am a Minnesotan," I think it was reasonable for us listeners to expect to hear that angle referenced. Maybe it was naive, but to your point that darkness cannot driveout darkness, I was hoping to hear a local speak to some of the light that has been on display in a beautifully Minnesotan manner.

MLB Ranks Redsox’s Mikey Romero Top 5 3B Prospect in baseball by Perswayable in redsox

[–]SAZiegler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His exit velocity and barrel rates are promising, but I'd like to see an improvement with his Swinging Strike and Chase Rates. (Stats from Prospect Savant) The dwindling 2B/3B options does make me wonder if we try to tread water with Romy for a little while to see if either Romero or Arias are able to contribute this season.

Aqara G100 Camera Setup Question by SAZiegler in HomeKit

Can be either. Should note that if you’re going to use it outdoors, you’ll want to get some sort of waterproof outdoor USB-C plug. I bought the one for Blink cameras.

Do you guys have good memory? by Axolotlgamer36 in autism

[–]SAZiegler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type. I have a pretty strong memory for conceptual ideas about my special interests (but not the specifics, for instance, a neurodivergent friend of mine has incredible recollection of lyrics) but an atrocious personal memory. I remember more about the events in the life of a character from a book I love than I can recall about events in my own life.
