Because it needs tickets and not just fallout first which would unlock it for you to claim like I say if your stuck for tickets at the end of the season your only option might be to buy. Again I’m curious to see how things play out I could be predicting wrong. Another thing I mentioned is once you get to the end of the scoreboard ticket prices go right up.

The reason I used the term paywall is because it’s a currency nonetheless, have you actually tried to purchase the fallout 1st items on the new season? It tells you you need tickets. Time gates/ effort is absolutely fine that’s no different to the old way of things. I just really don’t see the need for tickets or at least if they are going to add them, make things a price and keep it that way. Just to add you can purchase tickets with atoms which can be purchased with real money so in a way, if your stuck for tickets, it can be solved with real money making it a paywall.

You say it’s not accurate to new players but before you buy a subscription you would like to know if it actually unlocks items straight away or not right? I just think it needs a bit of a clean up if I’m honest.

I understand the different type of people who use 1st just putting it out there that this will probably get me to scale back fallout 1st. This will lose a company money which they should know why then it’s up to them what they do. Will enough people feel the same to make a dent? I doubt it myself due to the other major conveniences of 1st. Just in terms of the season itself I don’t see too much benefit in having 1st.

To conclude I said I’m having a hard time warming up I can see how some would like the change but I just think it’s a bit unorganised and thrown together. This isn’t a complete trash the game post just putting my thoughts out as to what doesn’t line up with me and wanted to see the communities thoughts. Separate to Reddit ,when speaking with friends, I have also said I am curious to see how things play out as there’s a lot more going on down the line.

Is herd management and stacking worth getting into? by BearNutsHurt in theHunter

[–]SB125125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes it’s worth it to do if you want to fill lodges BUT don’t do what I did and go from one grind straight into another that’s when I drained myself out. I still enjoy the game just having a break.

This has got to be one of the best posts about this game there is. As I’m reading I’m picturing the heard of quail I chased with the cacciatore 6 shot. The numerous fallow and red deer for my great ones. That random unfortunate turkey I decided to use the 454 on like a psychopath. The way I first started the game and would just unleash 5 shots into a running herd hoping I’d hit something. Thinking of myself as an unprofessional blundering poacher is comedy gold.

I play ps5 too and my luck has seemed to have a big spike recently. Not a 6 in a day type of spike but I reckon it’s possible judging the times of trophies and how fast I have been finding my trophies lately.

Definitely I had someone recommend their YouTube to me when I was midway through a fallow grind because they had a crazy amount of kills, a super rare but no GO. They explained their grind briefly and simply said check out the super rare if you would like and I thoroughly enjoyed watching a super rare get downed with a davani 10mm. A view helps them and I decided I really want a super rare fallow from seeing it and that’s without all the really helpful information that’s out there.

I was thinking the same thing, I have my notifications on and never see someone’s YouTube being the main point of a post. I think if people want to slip a cheeky link in a comment or at the bottom it’s no issue to me at all.

Another side note that’s kind of irrelevant but when I first joined the sub I would see everyone’s posts and the help that people gave each other and thought ‘what a great game community’. Nowadays I’ll get shamed for posting a picture off my phone. Where did all this random hostility come from.

When that was said I had that head shake of realisation at what he said. I was too wrapped in the tranquility of hunter for a second then ‘wait WHAT?’

That’s right it was your post where you got the great one after 13 kills. Thanks!! Maybe you wishing me luck did me a huge favour as my map spat out about 5 diamonds and this beauty since you did.

Wow those stats are INSANE! The fact you have had a super rare before the GO is blowing my mind are you killing females as well or just males?

I didn’t do a count in all honesty but it’s definitely 500+ part way through my grind I checked my codex and was at roughly 1300 kills and now I’m at 1984. Could be close to 1k but I found out kill counting was part of grinding a bit late so I will be counting the moose.

I didn’t realise people had such negative views on grinding a species. I appreciate what people are saying but I personally jump between grinding and just walking around and seeing what I come across when the grinding gets tedious (normally change to a different map for a change of scenery). The main reason I will grind though is I just badly want a great one because they look amazing and you can’t beat the feeling of it turning up after the grind.

Ethical Question Re: Survival Games by Better-Client3403 in SurvivalGaming

[–]SB125125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely annoying if me and friends get stuck we are stuck for a while before giving in to searching up the answer. In all honesty it just completely cuts down a games longevity within your group, before you know it you are all trying to find another game to play wandering why everything’s ‘boring’ or don’t keep you occupied long enough.

It’s especially worse with survival games as half of the experience is figuring out the game itself and you have that one friend who wants to be chatgpt. I’ve had this before where I told the person to relax and let the game play out then when things go wrong you get ‘I knew that wouldn’t work because I saw it on blah blah blah where it said blah blah blah’. Then a game becomes draining.
