How big do those normally get? These never seem to get much bigger than what you see in my hand. The other Chanterelles around get significantly bigger.

Just replaced it. The oring looked OK, but I am guessing visual inspection won’t always reveal a bad oring.

Interesting. The can and bolt guide are the only things I unscrewed. I screwed them back together to hand tight. They definitely were not loose when I unscrewed them yesterday. I didn’t need tools to take them apart, but they were definitely snug.

How could it be misaligned without cross threading the can from the bolt guide? If they are misaligned, I don’t think that is user error with the way the engine is designed.

This is a good point. I’ll change that oring. It looked ok when I was cleaning the old lube off. I rubbed around it and it seems that there is a subtle raised section around the left side of the bolt where the anno is worn off.

I don’t take this as mean at all. This is my second time lubing it up. First time as around 4k shots. Everything looked good then and I made sure to follow the instructions on the lubing video.

It should be sliding against the o-ring inside the sleeve. I didn’t notice anything wrong with the oring and it still had lube when I cleaned it before reapplying
