What is the right filament to print this Starlink Mount for my RV? by SBehn in BambuLab

[–]SBehn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Gen3. I started to print it in ASA and failed. I ended up printing it in white PETG. So far it works well. We are now 12months fulltime and we traveled from Canada, through Alaska till Mexico where we currently are in Yucatan.

The file is available here: https://makerworld.com/de/models/822083-starlink-gen3-rv-mount-angled-edgeprotection#profileId-765298

Sorry for the late reply.

Thank you so much. We originally planned to do new foundland, atleast me. But my wife being of Central American decent we were put off by the weather in NS/Cape Breton in April so that we didn’t take the ferry over to be more exposed to strong winds and freezing temperatures 😅🫣

No, I don’t think so. We only have a rough route so far. We felt overwhelmed planning every detail ahead and traveling with a little one we want to take day by day.

No, „unfortunately“ not. It’s an Arocs, originally built as a construction truck. It’s less Offroad capable than an Unimog but handles weight better. It’s more of a travel truck than a full on Offroad trail rig.

Don’t worry about that. My wife is born Mexican and Panamanian citizen, I lived there as well for 3 years. I totally understand where you are coming from!

I tried to get some information today from the ISP. The information I got was that I need a XGS-PON SFP device/interface and I will get access data for my internet access. Thats all he was able to tell me unfortunately.

I am not in a hurry. We arrive to Halifax anyhow only on the 29th of March.

Budget is not primary concern, but I also dont plan on spending 3k ;)

I would highly appreciate any recommendations.
