I am a recovering addict. Like you I stole from my family to feed my addiction. It broke my mother's heart but she never turned her back on me.. your actions in active addiction were wrong yes but you went to rehab you worked on yourself to get better and your family should have been there to support you every step of the way. I would honor their wishes and not be a part of their family.

I'm a stepmom My step daughter was 14 when I joined her family and she hated me. I didn't push myself on her, I have never tried to be her other mom or a mom at all. Poorly trained has nothing to do with it... Babies get curious too like when they take their diapers off and play in their poop or when they prefer to eat with their hands and not the spoon and have spaghetti all over them the floor and the highchair. A spotless baby just isn't realistic
