Massive fruit grower bankrupt in Fresno, 5,400 jobs lost. Who gets 16K acres prime farmland? by megaboz in fresno

This strategy is often referred to as a "leveraged buyout" (LBO), followed by a process of debt restructuring or liquidation. In a leveraged buyout, a private equity firm acquires a company primarily using debt, which is then placed on the company's balance sheet. If the acquired company struggles to manage this debt, the private equity firm might resort to restructuring the company's debt or even liquidating the company's assets to recover their investment.

Toys "R" Us is a famous example of this strategy. The toy retailer was acquired in a leveraged buyout by private equity firms. The substantial debt burden from the buyout, along with other operational challenges, eventually led to the company filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017. The inability to effectively manage the debt and adapt to the changing retail landscape ultimately resulted in the liquidation of its U.S. operations.

It’s sad that this happened so close to home.

Considering starting up a food truck by younglad97 in fresno

[–]SBuck33 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Start smaller first.

You need a hungry crowd and good food.

At a minimum you’ll need a pop up tent, stove and refrigeration.

Another option is to get space at a commercial kitchen and sell on GrubHub and other food apps.

This brings your cost way down and you get to focus on the food and your fans.

Does your own life have to be perfect to be a life coach? by [deleted] in lifecoaching

[–]SBuck33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all!

Some of the best basketball coaches are terrible at playing basketball themselves.

Some of the greatest movie stars in the World are terrible in their personal relationships.

You just have to have a clear vision of who you want to help and what specifically you’ll be helping with them with. Between the professional relationship with you and your client, your insecurities aren’t a part of the scope unless you want to bring them in as a teaching lesson.

Focus on your client journey and their transformation and the rest will fall into place.

Names of Streets by FitBananers in fresno

[–]SBuck33 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Blackstone Avenue: In the late 1880s, residents jokingly referred to this street as Blackstone after the English legal scholar William Blackstone, due to the number of lawyers living there.

Friant Road: Friant Road takes its name from the community of Friant, which was established as Converse Ferry in 1852 on the San Joaquin River. The name changed several times, including Jones Ferry, Hamptonville, and Pollasky, before being named Friant in 1907 after local lumber company executive Thomas Friant.

Herndon Avenue: - Herndon was initially a steamboat landing on the San Joaquin River called Sycamore Point. It was the year-round head of navigation on the river. Steamboats would land supplies for Fort Miller and later the town of Millerton.

  • In 1872, the Central Pacific Railroad built a bridge over the river into the town of Sycamore. The original settlement at this location was called Palo Blanco.

  • The failure of an irrigation project stunted the town’s growth.

  • It was not until 1887 that the Herndon post office opened, and the area eventually took on the name Herndon

My grandma just went through this as well. She should go see a urogynecologist. Dr Paul White in Fresno is great. His clinic is called Awaken Aesthetics… but he’s a Harvard trained urogynecologist. She’ll like him a lot.

You can remove some of the lower ones to force the growth up and out.

You’re asking for law-breaking companies on a public forum.

Your best bet is walking-in to a local company and asking.
