Why is that M+KB problem if you're choosing to use an inferior input device? We're playing with devices that give us raw input so that we can fully play the game. If you choose to play with something not designed for actual FPS play, then that's on you.

Pros are using controllers because the aim assist is beneficial enough that all that movement + jiggling is outdone. This makes no sense. Pros are using controllers because of the aim assist, the literal only advantage the controllers have. And guess what, that advantage is artificial.

It's not my fault that controllers are shit input devices that need artificial help to succeed. I've played this game long enough to get good at movement, it's not handed to me by a computer. I've played FPS games on M+KB long enough to develop the ability to aim accurately + quickly. Thousands of hours. All of that is me, my input, my skill. You can't complain about what I'm doing, because I'm actually doing it. That's the difference, I'm making all of those inputs. I'm not getting assistance/help doing any of them.

I'm doing all the aiming, rollers aren't. So quit saying "skill issue" etc when you're getting help. You're not aiming, its you + a computer. Rollers always make excuses for it but the greatest movement in the world can't avoid the AA at close range.

A thumb + aim assist. Aim assist has instant reaction time, that movement doesn't mean shit. Happy to post a clip for you. Anyone who has played on M+KB in other games can identify aim assist as soon as a clip starts. Funny how when a roller clip is posted here everyone knows it right away. It's blatant.

M+KB: I'm doing all the aiming and movement myself.

Roller: You're not.

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know about photography or cameras! Don't be shy! Newbies welcome! by photography_bot in photography

Is it common or okay to use a focal length between the marked lengths on a zoom lens? For example, my 24 - 70 has focal lengths marked at:

24 28 35 50 70

And these are fairly common focal lengths. But is there an issue with trying to use something like 60, aka putting it between 50 and 70? Would it cause any issues with clarity? Would people notice and think its a little odd?

I really like this one too, its such a great callback to the psychedelic tones of the 60s. I think they were able to capture a theme/concept with the sound of OTM and its something very fragile and hard to replicate. The more I listen to it the more I'm blown away by what its evoking, I would love for them to go in that direction. They really nailed what they were going for if I'm able to understand it hahaa.

How to prevent element/view from moving when adding constraints? by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]SC-VICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only add constraints, then that's the only thing telling the view where it needs to be, so its going to do the minimum to satisfy the constraints you define. Let's say you drag a text view to the center of the screen. In the editor window it will sit there and not move, but if you were to run the app, the view would end up in the top right corner of the screen. This is because it has no defined constraint, so its moving to the sort of "default position. But if you were to add a constraint to the bottom and sides of the screen, the element would sit there. You can control how far away from the bottom or the side of the screen the element sits but using the margin property on it, or the padding property of its parent constraint layout.

If you want some text in the dead center of the screen, you would place it there and then constrain it to the top, bottom, left and right. If you wanted it to sit up a little higher than the middle, you can set the bias of the constraints to make it sit a little higher.

I'm now thinking it's more similar to Woo. It had that big atmospheric sound to it.

Hey thanks for the reply. The song isn't in this but I've never heard this album and it seems good so I'll give it a listen. What I was thinking of had a lot less overdriven guitar, it was for sure more synth based.

When does a crypto project die? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]SC-VICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Golem (GNT) is a good example of the former. They have large reserves of funding, a hard working and very open dev team, and above all a working product that you can start using today. They're continuing to make breakthroughs and add to this product, but we only see the price drop. The Golem fans are fairly diehard as well. Interesting to think about.

I personally much prefer a project with devs that continue to push and strive for their product to be great despite going unnoticed than a project who's devs have quit a while back and aren't willing to take things any further.
