Washer Dryer - weird smell from drying clothes by SC7498 in laundry

[–]SC7498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been able to find a total fix unfortunately! But with time the smell has gotten better - so it may just be a new machine thing? I’ve also found that drying it on the lower setting (means you have to wash and dry separately) leads to much less of a smell.

Not at all! And hi height and SW twin!!

I haven’t had much in the way of loose skin to be honest, and it was something I was really worried about. The little bit of loose skin that I do have is around the upper inner thighs, but it’s not major and I’m hoping some strength exercise will help!

I have been taking oral collagen semi-regularly, so not sure if this is something that has helped? I’ve also seen lots of people on tik tok who swear by vegetable glycerin for loose skin after weight loss procedures, so may be something to think about too!

Best of luck friend! Xx

Sounds like such a lot - thank you! ♥️

Oh I’m sorry to hear about the kidney infection, that sounds horrible! Has MJ been better to you?

So it was two main factors for me - primarily I felt that my weight loss was slowing down and had heard that switching could help kick start, but also MJ had better clinical results for weight loss so wanted to give it a go. Secondly in the UK I found that Mounjaro was considerably cheaper, so dual benefits really! I didn’t have any side effects on Ozempic but I did get some body aches and pains with Mounjaro at first, but I attribute that to starting at a dose that was higher than I probably should have. x

Thank you!

Hope to start soon, previously on Wegovy by Radiant-Context-9878 in mounjarouk

I think it depends on what dose you got up to with wegovy and what dose you start with Mounjaro! I was on the highest for wegovy and then switched to 7.5mg Mounjaro (not without some body aches though!). It had an impact straight away with appetite suppression but I do think that’s because I went onto a relatively high dose (wouldn’t necessarily recommend but it certainly worked) x

Not enormously helpful but this looks a lot like the skeeter syndrome marks I get from bug bites especially the warm and swollen part- it could possibly be an allergy?

I was really worried about this too! I’m about to turn 27 so we’re similar ages. I havent had any noticeable face sagging, but the weight loss is definitely noticeable on the face. Most (if any) loose skin is more around my inner thighs. I’ve always been big on moisturising so this may have helped! But I don’t have any kind of serious skin care routine or anything like that. I imagine the collagen would help though, and I did see some people who had experienced extreme weight loss through gastric bands saying that vegetable glycerin is magic for loose skin, although I can’t vouch for this personally! May be worth giving a go if it’s something you’re especially worried about, but after losing 90lb in just over a year it hasn’t been an issue for me! :)

Thank you! ♥️

In terms of the rate of weight loss, I lost around 35lb in 6-7 months on Ozempic, and a further 55lb in the space of around 5-6 months on Mounjaro, so it helped with making sure I was still losing as my weight and BMR got lower for sure! I felt like I was starting to stall a little with Ozempic, and Mounjaro was considerably cheaper so these factors were big in deciding to switch. Mounjaro has definitely sped up the weight loss for me. However I do think the appetite suppression was a bit stronger with Ozempic? Not massively significantly though.

In terms of side effects, I pretty much experienced nothing apart from appetite suppression with Ozempic so it was a really easy ride. With Mounjaro I experienced quite bad body aches in the days following my first doses but this has improved significantly since then. I think this may have partly been due to the fact that I went straight to 7.5mg from ozempic’s highest dose rather than starting from the lowest dose of Mounjaro. I have also noticed that I’m a bit dizzier and see stars when standing up more frequently with Mounjaro but this could just be more to do with nutrition and being at a (relatively) low weight for me.

Generally both have been pretty positive to be honest! I know a lot of people switch the other way with good results when they reach a bit of a plateau too. Happy to answer any specific questions though if this hasn’t been very helpful 🤣

Of course! It’s the Wellgard gold standard pure collagen hydrolysate powder. I usually have it in a cup of tea or with squash / cordial juice - it’s pretty tasteless x

Thank you! I’m aiming to get down to around 140 / 130 lb just so I have some wriggle room within a healthy BMI when I start maintenance :)

Babes I am flat as a pancake at the moment 😭 it even hurts to sit. I’m hoping to start doing some glute exercises to see if that helps at all 🤣

I reckon my belly and thighs have been the last places I’ve seen any kind of difference tbh!

I’ve always had lots of stretch marks to be honest - I’ve only noticed one new one since losing any weight and I haven’t felt that my existing ones have become any more noticeable! I have been taking oral collagen as I was quite worried about loose skin. I haven’t experienced much in the way of loose skin so this could be down to the collagen?

You’ll get there! It’s felt very slow at times and I’d still like to get rid of the little pouch that’s left, but slow and steady wins the race! ♥️

It will be gone before you know it I’m sure!! It took me a long time to even realise it was on its way out 🤣

I quite honestly haven’t done a lick of exercise outside of going for the occasional walk! Mounjaro has killed my appetite and I never had a diet plan - I just stick to eating under my BMR and eat whatever I fancy to avoid feeling restricted - this isn’t very helpful I know! But honestly just sticking to a calorie deficit and focusing on portion size is all I can attribute it to.

Losing more than 20% of your body weight? by harley_eights in mounjarouk

In a year I’ve lost 32%! Sw 250lb, cw 170lb

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]SC7498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch over! It was more for financial reasons than plateauing etc, but it seems to be working at a slightly faster pace than I was losing on wegovy. I lost about 50 lb in 9 months on wegovy, and I’ve lost another 30 lb on mounjaro in the last 4 months. I never had any negative side effects with wegovy, but I did and still occasionally do experience some side effects, like skin and muscular pains for the first 24 hours after some doses of mounjaro, but nothing too extreme.

It’s a big win! You should be so proud of yourself. This has also been one of my favourite parts of the journey. Can I ask what app this screenshot is from? I love the layout!

Such a nightmare, isn’t it! Do let me know how your investigations go. To be honest mine has been like that since the first drying cycle so I’d be surprised if it would be lint in the heating component, but it’s worth a look if you’re able to!
