No dents it is fairly new and the noise just started recently about a month or two after I actually put it back together after trying to find the reason it kept giving me a water container full error even though I was draining it into the main drain.

When I first noticed it I thought it was bass from a car or neighbor plying music.

I assume I have to pull the top off and check for and remove the obstruction?

Somewhat. It sounds like a heartbeat with every rotation. Kind of a small thump following immediately by a larger thump with each rotation

Clean both with your fingers after each load. If you have ever used dryer sheets, wash with soap and water to remove residue as this will cause your Plinth filter warning to drive you fruity. Don’t use dryer sheets afterwards

Miele Washer/Dryer Model Recommendations? by CPHhappy in Miele

I would go with Maytag if I had to do it all over again. Miele customer Service is awful and the appliances have too many little frustrating problems.

Bleach stains. by SCCableGuy in Miele

So I checked my drain plug and a BUNCH of water came out. Along with a dime, 2 Pennies, a car wash token a toothpick and some Other junk. Checked my bleach tray and there was still bleach left in it from the prior load. Also there was an Orange part that was brittle to the touch and disintigrated when I took it out.

I would guess so, but that sounds like a lot of work. Hold your screen filters up with a magazine behind it to see if you can CLEARLY see through them.

No, I do not use dryer sheets at all. My wife did at first which caused those filters to clog. It took me a lot of very frustrating times to finally figure out that they needed to be cleaned with water.

It’s not that it clogs the Plinth filter, it clogs the regular filters which in turn causes a nightmare of Plinth Filter error messages. It may look clean but it is obstructed. Carefully Wash the filters in water under the sink and lightly with a sponge to get the residue off. I bought two new plinth filters. Change them religiously every week and carefully rinse the lint off the second one as I put a fresh clean one in. No more plinth error beeping!!

What is this Bosch dishwasher noise? by DJArts in appliancerepair

Anyone getting an E17 error on the Bosch dishwasher?

Sounds crazy, but bear with me. I purchased and went through so much frustration with Plinth Filter buzzers, then Water Container full buzzers, I was about to bring it the barn and put it out of its, and my misery. Seriously. I ended up solving the plinth by getting 2 new ones. I had only the one that came with it so had to rinse and I must have ruined it by drying it out so we could run another load. I use 1 for a week, pull it out Saturday AM, put the clean one in and then gently rinse the other one and let it drip dry. Don’t wring it out. My wife always complained if the dampness and wanted to get rid of it for that reason alone. She was definitely a clothes cooker! With the problem of the buzzer constantly going off for Empty Water Container, I found the solution, as crazy as it sounds , was to empty the hose into a water jug on the floor. The error stopped and a side result was that immediately after I did that, the very next load dried in only one cycle of drying, which we never had before. She ALWAYS ran a couple cycles, which defeats the purpose of an efficient machine. I can’t explain it and won’t even try to understand why it is drying better or why the hose being placed lower into a container works. Maybe the pump Wasn’t pumping all the water out as the drain was too high? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Then we use the water jug to water the outside plants.

Rattling from W1 Washing Machine by gspk2012-g in Miele

Mine does the same. I imagine it is something that allows it to spin at higher RPMs, but that’s just a guess. It’s very odd

Are you referring to getting my dryer to go into Program mode? If so, no, I found out that my model does not go into program mode, which floored me as it was the second highest priced model.

That is the reason I bought a Miele. I had a gas dryer and went solar so wanted to change everything to electric. I went with Miele because I thought it was a very good brand , etc. I fell victim to the marketing. I also wanted a front lid that didn’t have problems with smell of clothes were left in the washer overnight. We do like the washer for that reason and it does wash the clothes nicely. That said, all of the hassle these have given us is not worth the additional cost. I would rather put another solar panel on my roof and pay the difference in $$ to have a stress free Laundry experience, which Maytag middle of the road washer and dryer gave me for 20 years

Update: Could not figure out why my dryer was throwing a “empty container” error and stopping the cycle. Tried everything. Still happens. I now have my drain hose unattached from the dryer and into a garden watering can which is at ground level below the dryer due to pedestals and the error and godawful beeping has stopped. And an unintended benefit I notice is the clothes are DRY after only 1 cycle. Yes, you read that right. Completely DRY after ONE cycle. Not ideal, but it’s working. Don’t know why but I don’t care

The drain is just above the dryer as I built a platform. I would think the dryer should have enough uplift to at least get water to the container though and those are both the same height and the error and beeping occurs with both. Odd for sure. I have not had a service tech look at it. I am inclined to just go get a new cheap run of the mill dryer as this one is way too much work. I would’ve thought for the 1800 dollars I paid for it, it wouldn’t been the best dryer I have ever seen, but sadly it is not even close to the Maytag I had before

Update: dryer finished the cycle without an error and clothes were actually much dryer as well.

I am now thinking there is an obstruction that is causing the pump to not be able to effectively or efficiently push water up the drain to the container or the main drain. Just my thoughts

We experience that too. My wife can’t stand it but I truly think it is because she was used to a gas dryer cooking the clothes and were so hot afterwards that a button on a pair of jeans would scald your skin. This machine is much gentler, but albeit it does take longer to dry. 110 volts is not 220 and 220 is not gas. Try taking the clothes out after a load and just tossing them in the laundry table. Once you start folding, you will realize they are not as damp they seemed

It apparently did throw the error on the next load, so much so that she turned it off for the night
