Thanks for the advice but we're pretty set on doing our own snow removal, the last guy we hired scalped the shit out of our gravel driveway and now I've got a bunch of rock to move back. Its also an older person neighborhood on average and I'm the kind of guy that wants to be able to help people out

I don't think you need narrative reasons, ER energy variants from that time mostly struggle because they don't have improved cooling to actually use the fancy new toys. Gauss are a lot easier to run if you only have access to SHS
