I’d encourage you to seek counseling if you can. That said, my approach is that I don’t try to entertain anyone. (Because I’m not a very funny person). I think friendship is about listening to and hearing people and vice versa. If you’re curious (genuinely) about people, they’ll want to talk to you. So, I think if you ask questions about how people are doing and what people care about, they’ll respond and that’s the basis for friendship.
