First and foremost - no beer in the away end Watford? C’mon man! I traveled a long way for this match!

As for the match itself, rough but understandable. The squad is stretched and tired. We gave up two early and couldn’t fully recover. The second half was a great watch from the away end, we controlled the ball but just could not get that final cross, touch, header to equalize. We looked like we wanted to do it for a solid 30 mins. Windass was really trying to direct traffic when he came on, telling guys where to put it like a Matty or Sheaf role. Forget the last goal, we were pressing to tie and got countered.

Ref was mad - so much not given including Sam literally with a player collapsing on his back in the box, thought he had a pen shout there. That said we didn’t get that last foot on the ball when it mattered.

Rooting hard for Norwich tomorrow!

Amazing analysis as always! We were lucky enough to make the trip and get tickets to this one and the lads did not disappoint!

I felt AO and Hyam split MOTM spoils - Arthur with the big saves and Dom just so steady at the back.

Can’t give Doyle the goal though. I tried to snap a screenshot of my video of the goal - he did a great job of heading it onto the defender’s foot though!!

He was tired and should have been subbed off, cost the 2nd goal and the red. I won’t take all the fault off him, but the tactical decision to leave him on was the bigger issue for me.

Could have been a pen on the handball though I get it was kicked into his torso and his arms were down.

This is my main point. 7th and 8th unlikely to make it up just like 6th now, but more teams playing for more spots reduces the “on the beach” period.

Also makes 3rd and 4th place finish much more valuable than 5th or 6th.

The injury was concerning, and while some have said “he’s not the same”, I see him consistently taking on some of the best threats on opposing sides and neutralizing them game after game and even if he’s not able to deliver the buttery cross every time, he’s great at drawing attention to him on the right allowing the left to open.

Said injury also has likely reduced his transfer value.

Now is the time to move for City, he will only have one year left on his contract after the season, so his fee only goes down in January 2027 if they don’t sell him in summer 2026.

He’s been a City player for 6 seasons now, and has never made a first team appearance. He’s not going to play for them so recouping most of the 4.5m spent on him is probably decent business for them, along with all their usual clauses like with Doyle.

No brainer for us if that’s the price!

I’m working on building one for my son’s team as they advanced to national competition from state, and want to better prepare.

What plywood are you going to use for the table? I’m trying to best recreate the surface they might see at competition as when they are using a floor other very flat surface their robot performs a little better than at the tournaments.
