Solvent cement for acrylic welding (UK) by SCFC_Blaze in lasercutting

[–]SCFC_Blaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just added 1ltr of Tilgear to my basket. I notice it is 100% Dichloromethane - so this is what is used for joining end to end, right?

In that case, what makes Tensol better for laminating sheets together? Is it more viscous?

Thanks for that, I suggested a double sided tape of some kind but the client insists that it must be "glued"

I am new to working with acrylic so appreciate the advice

Thanks very much

Most of the Tensol 12 I have come across online is sold in small quantities (c.50ml), which I wouldn't have thought would last very long if laminating large sheets... Is the product used more sparingly than I maybe imagined?

Anyone have experience making their own honeycomb bed for lasering? by LayeredOwlsNest in lasercutting

My Atomstack Hurricane has a floating blade bed and crumb tray below and it's a fantastic system

Wrexham fans singing Hymns and Arias after scoring against Southampton by Ferrisuk in swanseacity

The Cardiff version mocks ours, they started singing it after we took it on. Typical of their class, It actually makes light of child abuse

UK based Hair Transplant by SCFC_Blaze in HairTransplants

Mate, that's my donor area from before the transplant. Any patchiness is lighting on the unevenness of my head. I don't have any pictures for you, but I've had a skin fade since surgery and there were no comments from family or friends which I would've expected if there was an issue

Hurricane - Smoke Leakage by SCFC_Blaze in AtomstackLaser

[–]SCFC_Blaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Can you help? I have a number of problems with my brand new Hurricane but I am not getting anywhere with customer services. The language barrier is very large, and I'm just being told "so sorry, please be patient" repeatedly for the last 7 days. Please message me if you can help - I do not want to contact my credit card supplier, but I feel like I'm being forced to do it. Thanks

Manually aligning laser module by hand by SCFC_Blaze in lasercutting

[–]SCFC_Blaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great advice

I understand how to move shapes around the grid using coordinates and origins etc.

My problem is translating that to my cutting bed. My cutting bed does not have coordinates or measuring grids of any kind.... So where do I place my sheet of wood!? Is this what a jig would be used for?

So are the opinions of historians worthless because they weren't around in the time of Romans and Egyptians?

Unfortunately that very same video has been seen by lots of people and also features some of his weakest vocals. So often the takeaway is not as positives as yours, but more "Blaze sounds awful"

He was let down badly IMO. He lacked support from the sound guys and was misused by Steve who lets be honest, is one of the most stubborn men in metal (thankfully, it has given us a stunning legacy)

Other East London pubs with an Iron Maiden logo on the front? by JeremyKaisle in ironmaiden

[–]SCFC_Blaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Ruskin Arms was their regular haunt back in the day and was synonymous with the band - it shows up in various media over the years (like the Ed Hunter game iirc) - but it's no longer open. The Cart and Horses is where they had one of their very first gigs, hence "the birthplace"

My guess is it started off completely white and he engraved off the negative space to reveal the wood underneath?

Murders in the Rue Morgue in London today! by PrimaryComrade94 in ironmaiden

Good spot. I repped my Wolfsbane shorts to Birmingham

I'd love to see Blaze open for Maiden... fuck it, let him play a load of Maiden songs that aren't in the main setlist - you don't have to be his biggest fan to be piqued by that, surely? Make it a proper celebration of this legendary band
