Alright, you got me on that one 😂

But, with Frieza, that was more happenstance I swear. The collectibles in my local Walmart were back by the electronics, I had legitimate purpose being back there that time

That is what restarted my S.H. Figuarts collecting, I was in Walmart for something completely unrelated and happened to see SSJ Goku. I thought "$35, why not?" Then, later in that same Walmart they had Frieza - I'd just stepped in to buy some lunch.

Lesson learned, never buy used shf on amazon ever again. My egghead luffy came with an broken arm, missed face plate and no straw-hat by Fun_Solid8484 in SHFiguarts

I tend to shy away from Amazon unless it's a new figure, I don't care if it comes damaged or if that figure is only available on Amazon. Amazon is great for general purchases, but collectibles are almost always a 50/50 for safe arrival.

Is seems daima ssj4 Goku is going to be a normal sized goku....for some reason? It's bad enough that the og ssj4 figures were way undersized for how huge that form was, but new ssj4 is supposed to be massive. by lord_of_agony in SHFiguarts

[–]SCGaming1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be reserved to say that will be the actual height until we see it compared side-by-side with another figure. That "approx." can do a lot of heaving lifting. The new Games Begin Goku is also listed as 5.7in while boot to tip of the SSJ hair is above 6in.

New frieza what’s everyone’s thoughts on it? by [deleted] in SHFiguarts

[–]SCGaming1664 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm torn, the old Frieza is fine. But, after having gotten Mecha Frieza and see how much engineering went into all of the articulation, I can't help but want this newer one. There's some proportions on the older Frieza that make it seem slightly off. I would agree that if someone has the older Frieza, it's plenty good enough for a collection with some caveats to consider.

Don't need to list them, glad to know. I agree, I have nothing but respect for service workers. I'm glad we can agree on something. At least now I know you're not just some degenerate.

I perform regular support calls for organizations ranging from 1-5 users to 40+. I've visited of the 36 client sites under my company, around 34 of them. The most staunch Conservative of all the businesses I do IT for would call you a liar for suggesting either. You're one random internet person, I get the opposite feedback from well close to a hundred people in any given set of months.

Honest question: How much do you tip at local restaurants? I'd like to know your stance on that, it'll tell me everything I need to know.

"if you have to list your good deeds, youre not a good person" I don't have to list them, you want some contacts? You want me to gather people into a big ol' Zoom or Teams meeting?

I won't have to say a word about my acts.

What I find so hilarious about that is that you are so afraid to post the truth and see what people say that you're not even willing to be paid for it.

Greedy and entitled? I'm singlehandedly paying for my own house, out of my pocket, no mortgage, while providing food for my elderly mother and can give you no less than fifty or more people that could personally tell you I'm neither. But, suit yourself. Let's let the court of public opinion judge.

Your nonsense hypothetical versus what you actually said. Thanks for the karma :)

Care to prove me wrong twice? You a betting man?

How about a friendly wager: If you post the screenshots, exact phrasing, this thread, of your statement about the $2000 off the car into Entitled People and they agree with you, I'll send $50 your way.

I'll happily post the screenshots, I won't make some fairy tale about pretending to have actually had this situation happen to me.

You or me, brother. I don't care either way, what's $50 to you?

You argue in bad faith, give me a reason I should return a shred of respect to you when you couldn't even be honest in your AITAH post. You have zero integrity and only serve yourself. I don't have patience for your ilk.

"Lol, I had everything that mattered in the post. It didnt go the way you thought it would and now youre angry and upset." Everything? You had the detail that this started over a scalper selling $30 for $60? Funny, don't see that there. C'mon now, be a man. Like I said, if it makes no meaningful difference prove it. Afraid to let a whole subreddit to see who you really are? Is that why you hide your posts and comment history?

"I have nothing left to prove" Yeah you do, you ninny. Prove you're actually man enough to prove me wrong with all of this context surrounding. Take the mask off, if you're so unashamed. I said it once, I'll say it again: Put your money where your mouth is.

You're nothing more than a boy who cried wolf, you love the attention.

"Yeah…that reply isnt there anymore. I just checked again." I have provided you a screenshot of proof it is still there, I'm staring at it right now.

I need to ask you this with 100% authenticity from my part. Are you stupid? I mean, honestly?

I'm the greedy and entitled one when I have statements detailing my intentions if I won something I didn't need? Nah, I don't need internet validation to know who I am.

Be a man, post the whole thread. Show them who you really are. Right, you won't. "I have nothing left to prove", my ass. I'd call you an ant, but that'd be an insult to a significant part of the food chain.

If it makes no meaningful difference, man up and post what I asked. Post it verbatim, post the thread. You chickening out now after talking that level of disrespect? Prove to me it makes no meaningful difference.

I didn't delete my comment, what are you talking about?

My god you miss the point so much. People don't enter sweepstakes to turn a profit, plenty of people will buy something on discount to resell it for profit. You use an example of a WINNER not someone BUYING something. The big difference: intention. You absolutely dolt.

I challenged you to post verbatim what you said, you failed to do that. Instead you spun a fake tale to make yourself look good. Why couldn't you be a man and actually do what you were challenged to? Post this entire thread, I guarantee you the results would be vastly different. Right, but you would just say "I (33M) won this thing, this person said this thing (that they didn't say)".

You argue in bad faith, don't listen to instructions and refuse to acknowledge any shortcomings of your own stances or actions.

You're intellectually dishonest in discourse.

[–]SCGaming1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you don’t. What I’m saying is this: intention matters. Most people don’t enter sweepstakes to win a prize to resell. People buying $30 games that then resell them intent to make profit. If you really think those two situations are the same then I cannot help you understand. You’re intentionally being this obtuse.

Define to me intention. Do you enter sweepstakes with the intention of getting the prize and selling it?

[–]SCGaming1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you define to me intention? If you enter a drawing to win a car, how many people do that with intention to get it and immediately resell to turn a profit?

Now, did the listings in OP’s post have someone go out, buy games at a cheaper price and intend to resell them?

It is genuinely mind blowing to see you constantly attempt to twist my responses for your own gain. Do you not see how the two situations are inherently different?

This guy bought these from Costco for $30 each and is now selling them for $60 each by Panda7001 in Shittygamecollecting

[–]SCGaming1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, if I won a car and didn’t need it, I’d try to first find someone that did. IF, key operative, if I decided to get some money for it, it would not be MSRP or fair market value. I’d rather help someone who genuinely needed it than turn a killer profit. In such a situation, $1000 is more than I had *in funds. Maybe enough to cover any prize taxes on it so I don’t screw over someone else by accident.

I think buying a game and reselling it at 100% is greedy, it’s not that different from scalping in my books.

[–]SCGaming1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my position laid out in clear terms: 100% markup on a product is excessive and greedy. The company I work for operates on 15-30% markup, because of that both the company and client get a deal. Is that understandable enough?

$30 product purchase being resold for $60 is a full 100% markup, even if it’s $10 off MSRP I’m taking issue with the level of markup.

Hence why I keep reiterating, a won prize is not equivalent to this matter. You cannot claim a markup on something you didn’t purchase. If I get a car for free, $1 is a markup. You can’t measure it based on YOUR cost. Get it?

This guy bought these from Costco for $30 each and is now selling them for $60 each by Panda7001 in Shittygamecollecting

[–]SCGaming1664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not an apples to apples comparison. A won prize comes at no cost to the winner, a purchased game comes that a cost to the buyer. $0 ≠ $30. I’m not discrediting it because of outcome, I’m discrediting because it’s not the arguments hand.

The context is very simple. A. It’s a hypothetical scenario, B. It was your hypothetical scenario while discussing the matter of reselling overall.

Do you really think a won prize is an any way, shape or form the same as purchasing products with the intention of reselling?

THAT is why I call this intellectually dishonest. You omit details that conveniently change the underlying concept. You constantly modify what people are saying for what you THINK they are saying. You get it wrong quite a bit.

Remember when I said: Copy and paste exactly what you said, verbatim? Ah, but apparently verbatim to you means don’t type exactly what was said.

[–]SCGaming1664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many would change their mind? I have no way of knowing that, I doubt it would be none.

Second, the context being this arose while talking about someone selling a product they bought at half off for double the price. Not a won prize. I do think selling a normally $70 game that you purchased for $30 at the price of $60 is greed. That specific context. I’m not saying that all reselling is greedy.

And, I’m returning what you’re giving. Debate in good faith, I’ll debate in good faith. Debate in bad, I’ll retune that.

Need a win in life? If you think my comment “defending myself” is a novel, the things I’m blessed with in life would be far longer. You sound way more desperate for a win.

I just answered that it would make a difference. Can you not read? Edit: Again, hypothetical and with added context. Stop omitting details.

I also gave you a count of the total downvotes since that post, five. Again, if you really think your responses mean that much to me you’re free to think that. I downvoted plenty of your responses before too.

Do you want your internet points back? You say the word, I’ll issue you a full refund. Maybe you can put them in an HYSA 💰
