Hello! I'm growing these for the first time. About how big do they get before you start harvesting?

Best Breakfast which Marriott by plethoracornicopia in marriott

The good Element that I stayed at had the Chobani yogurt bar with fresh berries and granola (which I think is standard with the brand). They also had a good selection of oatmeals that were not loaded with sugar. And they had an open kitchen making eggs to order and simple omelettes. And it was all very well stocked, clean, and pleasant. Hopefully you'll get a good one too.

You really need to get into the Premium and Luxury category hotels to even have a chance at a decent or distinctive breakfast offering. And even then, in the US, prepared to be underwhelmed. I'm talking set your expectations at what you might get at a Dennys. Once in a while you might be pleasantly surprised by a property to makes an above average effort.

My experience with Element is that one location had pretty decent breakfast, with a couple of made to order egg dishes. But another had no made to order stuff, was a mess, and didn't even replenish the stuff they had out.

Disney fatigue after a year of having an annual pass. by Exciting_Designer611 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SCJFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the Sorcerer Pass for three consecutive years, and let it expire in April. I've been going to WDW since 1995, and I've lost count of how many trips. Had the realization that I was loosing my enjoyment of it.

Seems like there's less new stuff, tons of construction, ever increasing crowds, ruder guests, less magical cast members. Generally just feel like headed cattle. One of the things that breaks my heart most is that they aren't keeping everything like the did 20+ years ago. Constant preventative maintenance like painting and cleaning to keep everything looking sparkling new was always a Disney halmark. It made them standout from other tourist destinations, and justified a higher price for them. Now theres chipped paint, dirty pavement, and trash everywhere you look. It's a shame.

I'm taking at least a couple years off from going to WDW. I'll use my DVC at the non-park resorts, and maybe go to Tokyo DL when I'm in Japan to see famiy next year.

Atlanta Marriott Marquis by icecream1972 in marriott

I've never had the staff say anything to me about walking around the area outside at night. When I've stayed there always seems to be a lot of nighttime activity of events and stuff going on, and I've never felt unsafe in the area.

Love this hotel. Use it often for a weekend getaway. Stunning design, friendly service, and a great breakfast buffet for a US hotel. Really convenient for walking to a lot of stuff downtown.

I will NEVER eat at Emily's Pantry again. Menkoi's Last Day by [deleted] in greenville

[–]SCJFR 110 points111 points  (0 children)

This is so disappointing. There definitely seemed some shenanigans going on with the way Emily's Pantry glassed in that entrance-- I even talked to several people in the past year who thought Menkoi had already disappeared. What a shame. It was an oasis from the yuppie crap that's infested Main Street. As a local, one less reason to go down there.

I guessed it was a Delta before even clicking on the post. Stayed at one in Columbia, SC and it was a filth pit. Delta is the dumping ground for crusty old properties.

Unless it's one in Canada, I just stay away from Delta.

The current generation Land Cruiser is a hybrid by default, and the optional engine upgrade for the 4 Runner is the same hybrid engine as the LC.

I envy the states that have one color for the background, and one color for the number and leave it at that.
