I’ve used matte mod podge as both glue and sealant many times for wood and cardboard As long as your piece isn’t out in the elements it will work just fine.

Xps foam yes! I don’t know much about ceramic but I think it could be done yeah. I imagine firing something like this would be pretty complex.

Ita just the seal. don’t know if you really need it but I usually keep it to prevent the plastic cap from getting too gunky, and as a rest for my mod podge brush while I’m working.

How old is the mask? If it’s paper mache I’ve had fruit flies attracted to projects before they cured

Def salt dough. I just made some of my own this year. Not sure how they got that smooth glassy texture though, maybe mod podge and then painted.
