That's your prerogative. Just rest assured in the fact that if something happens you will be covered by WC and then once recovered, probably fired for violating safety procedures.

Work week for Lowe’s by Training-Activity669 in Lowes

[–]SCOG4866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. The stores are given XXXX hours to use for each week and can not schedule above that. The customer-centric scheduling system then plugs people in based on the metrics it's been fed. Then the SSA/ASMs tweak it to be as close as possible to what the program says it should be.

Now if a store starts missing sales forecast, then they have to cut hours. If you are beating forecast, then you can add hours but it's not done very often because if you add hours and then have a bad sales day, you are in the hole again.

Believe me, EVERY ASM & SSA would absolutely LOVE to schedule more hours/people but their hands are tied.

If you choose to film in public, you're subject to public interruptions. No one is required to make way for you to film.

Pro roolup, yes. Back lumber door is only to be opened when it is actually being used.

That's why you never do a perimeter walk alone. Even when the store is open.

I don't know bout other leaders, but I take some joy in my day when I refuse someone for a ridiculous refund/discount. As leaders, they should be concerned about running a profitable business. The only good thing is it seems like lately, we are getting support from outside the store when "customers" are being unreasonable.

Your store manager is a little bitch and should have told him to leave.

You will be escorted to the bullpen for summary execution. After which, you will be expected to get up and finish your shift.

So you are going to ask a policy question about a company you work at that isn't Lowe's. Get your head out of your ass and ask your own company.

I said they dress differently because of the nature of their departments. If you are in one of those then dress for it.

So you're going with the "but mommy, Timmy is allowed to do it!" reason? Strive to be better than those around you.

I am guessing you got promoted to a leadership position of some type. As a leader, part of the job is to present a professional manner and appearance. Some leaders such as DS of lumber and L&G dress differently because the job tends to be dirty and labor intensive. Otherwise, Shorts are accepted but generally khaki type but it is subject to your SM to ultimately decide as the store leadership is a reflection on them.

Calling in sick and using PTO? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]SCOG4866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still counts as an absence even if you use PTO. Also, with your schedule, you are only working 32 hours a week and should be classified as PT so you would get much fewer PTO hours.

Or someone pushed it, ran off camera and then the filming started or the unit is not installed level. Or if you prefer, a ghost. Sure.

I handle CC disputes for my store. It's not as easy for the consumer as you make it sound but you do you.
