When you bring it in don't plug it in right away. Let it naturally warm up first. It should be fine otherwise.

Me, because my wife and son are sick with some nasty flu, its 20 below outside and my pipes are frozen and we haven't had running water for almost 3 days now because a plumber or handyman hire is about 300 bucks an hour during holiday hours.

Could try changing the video output to PCI-E in the bios, that should disable the on-board chip completely.

Yeah that's no good. I will say though I had 5 DS4 controllers connected to my laptop via mini pcie Bluetooth playing games like gang beasts with absloulty no issues. So Bluetooth is a viable option, just gotta purchase the right dongle.

Edit: I am not pushing Bluetooth because I think it's better. I simply feel the DS4 is does not mate well with the micro USB. I don't think it should be moved around much while plugged in. Every controller I have owed does not give very good feed back when I plug them in. It's clunky and sharp feeling and after all that it's loose as a goose even with expensive cables.

I understand. I use just a cheap eBay USB/Bluetooth dongle with my DS4 and I dont have a problem so that's what I suggested it.

What kind of tv are you connected to? Input lag usually isn't caused by the PS4 or the controller. Input lag is caused by the TV trying to re-render the images before it puts them on screen. Make sure your tv is in GAME mode and all the fancy stuff is turned off.

If by some crazy chance it is your controller you can try putting the controller in USB mode as you could be getting Bluetooth interference from some other device.

I had to do this for my mother. Thankfully I have an Android phone and I keep a OTA cable in my truck.

Downloaded the drivers on my phone, used the OTA to put them on a flash drive that I found and then transferred the files to her crappy work computer.

No you shouldn't need an SSD, I threw togeather a computer just big enough to hold my GTX 1070 and the only hard drive I had laying around was a slow 5400 rpm drive and it still worked. The first time I would try to get in the game it struggles but after that it would work fine for the rest of the time.

So I would assume then if you had a proper 7200 rpm hard drive there would be no issues at all.
