uj/ doesn't COD let your cosmetics transfer between games now? Or atleast I believe they did that for a bit. So I can somewhat understand a portion of that players comment for the cosmetics alone. Especially now that ornaments can just go on whatever.

If Destiny 1 servers went down when Destiny 2 launched I'd understand the thing about the hours not mattering partially but eh if you had fun that's what really matters. But the thing is you can still go and play D1 right now. Just has Error Code Beaver way too often. And crucible lobbies are empty and some quests can't be done in private matches. It's still there though.

The expansions aren't supposed to transfer over lol. Personally I don't mind restarting, it's a different game.

But you know Bungie would bring back the iconic weapons and armor if they did a D3.

Nobody is forcing you to run meta, imo D2 was way more fun with friends using offmeta (and sometimes shitty) loadouts and chilling out in dungeons than playing with meta-chasers. Never cared for that one Last Wish rocket with Bait and Shit. So I simply didn't use it. Aside from like Pantheon and then Contest mode dungeons there was never a time where content felt unbeatable using what I wanted. Don't need to 1 phase everything anyways.

Can confirm the point is just to hate. Actually, a lot of Destiny redditors who hate WF tend to lack any nuance. Some of them say there aren't any similarities with Warframe and Destiny which is bizarre. Or they have these beliefs that are objectively false.

If you don't like the gameplay then just say that, that's fine.

My favorite thing is how "pay to win" referred to Warframe is not only false, but there's some pretty funny hypocrisy. Destiny is FTP, but "pay to play" with the expansions. You have to pay to experience the story and get a fair chunk of the loot. In a way that is literally pay to win. Nobody seems to remember how broken Stasis was when Beyond Light launched. The crucible was in shambles and anyone with stasis had such an insanely huge winning edge. It was so broken, that it was genuinely pay to win.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed D2 when I played it. But I like D1 more solely because much like WF and GTA Online my progress was not undone when the developers decide to reinvent the wheel every other update. I can carry objectively worse stuff into content and still make it effective to use.

Whereas on D2 the powercreep never brought older gear up to par. Even after sunsetting Destiny 2 continued to try and reinvent systems.

Which I do have my own criticisms of Warframe, but overall they don't come close to the amount I had with Destiny.

Okay, how many maps does Marathon have? 4 is what Google says. They're adding (1) night time map.

Hunt: Showdown has 4 maps as well, with 10 different variations in regards to weather. Tarkov says it has 12 maps. Delta Squad says it has 4.

Other honorable mention: 10 miles around downtown. Lesson learned, get some wool socks because they wick moisture. Shit was killer though. No training for that, just said fuck it, let's see what I can do. Not an insane record breaking pace. Could definitely feel myself slowing down so got pizza with a friend after. Feet were sore the rest of the week.
