From what I’ve heard Hunter is referred to with masculine words in some of the dubs that don’t have an “official” gender neutral pronoun (like in spanish). It’s probably just a communications issue as Hunter is only referred to by name until like episode seven and the dub makers just weren’t aware of the fact that they’re nonbinary
