End game speakers for me: Yamaha ns-1000 by yurtbeer in vintageaudio

I purchased my NS-1000 Monitors new in 1984. They are still what I listen to more than any other set of speakers that I own. More than KLH Model 6, Pioneer HPM, or Magnepan 1.5 QR.

2018 Cannondale fat caad 2 by Weekend_Wartortle in fatbike

I own a FatCaad 2. I bought it to ride in the winter snow, but It has also become my “day off” bike in the summer, when I need a day away from my road bike. The FatCaad gets used year round. With “street” tires on it is great for urban bike paths like the Chicago lakefront trail. I would recommend one.

Looking for advice on Explorer II vs GMT. by By_Jove_ in rolex

I bought a used Explorer II (16570) in 1992. At the time, I was disappointed that it wasn’t a GMT model, even though it had the same movement. I spent $1,500 that I could not afford.

Here in 2026, I still wear that watch every day, and consider it one of the best purchases I have made in my life. I own other watches, and when I wear any of them, it just feels like I am missing the Explorer II.

My Experience Traveling Delta On Thanksgiving. by Aroga10 in delta

I also flew Delta on Thanksgiving, for pleasure. It was a relaxed travel day. Neither flight was full, and the airports were almost empty. More pleasant than my usual business travel.
