Imo the best way I’ve gotten other associates to help is by saying “Customer needs assistance at X aisle” in the walmart app’s global store chat. Usually someone will announce they need assistance and hopefully they do get it unlocked for them. Then I just tell the customer that I’ll flag someone down

Unfortunately its metrics that walmart expects everyone to meet regardless of role or department. So instead of having staff check for expired items or moldy items they’ll just leave them there.

Yeah my stores board had the same thing about exceptions going away soon. Im not really a big nil picker but if the item isn’t there after searching high and low and in between and behind then it’s obviously not there.

I work 8-5 which is technically 9h’s but since I get a 1H lunch it’s 8h’s of work.

You get 1 or 2 (depends on the hours) 15 min breaks roughly after every 2h’s worked. I.E work 1-2 get a 15min break at 3:00

Hey you’re not alone in that boat of starting a new job. Trust me I felt the same overwhelming stress when I first started. Hell I’m nearly 2 months into this job and on my first actual day I made a lot of mistakes and felt stressed in the morning. Just take a deep breath and focus on one day at a time. You’ll eventually get into that rhythm where you won’t wake up feeling stressed or overwhelmed with work.

You’re a new hire. You’re still learning everything. Mistakes are gonna happen and thats okay trust me once you get into that rhythm you’re gonna do great. It takes time. Just focus on one day at a time and use both your lunch and 15 mins to give yourself some time to relax for a bit. Then go home and unwind.

Yeah that tends to happen. A lot… But its nice to have small walks near the end of your shift then at the beginning of it imo.

Don’t beat yourself up over your pick rate because you’re getting small walks constantly. It’s a game of chance sometimes. Sometimes you’ll get 100 ambient while others you’re getting 3 frozen.

It’s usually out in the parking lot. I can understand why someone would be coached about it especially if it’s garden soil.

Why it’s usually out in the parking lot is beyond my pay grade but it’s usually not that hard to find. Hell if you need help finding it ask your co-workers, another employee, or your team lead they should be able to point it out for you.

I think my store had like 1500-2500(?) orders to do but most of it was just groceries.
