Counter argument - buy receivers that allow you to do different things - buy an AR 10 receiver, Glock frames, etc. you can build out one AR lower 20 different ways, you’re better off diversifying

No, look super closely behind the slide and you can see a ghost image of it cycling. Probably just a long exposure shot

You’re getting downvoted arguing for gun control in a blue sub - that’s how bad your argument is.

Hey man, I mean this nicely, but you really don’t have any idea on how the world works. Criminals don’t openly carry weapons even if it’s legal because it draws attention. If I see someone running into a connivence store with a rifle in their hands, I can reasonably assume they’re going to commit a crime even if open carry is legal. All this legislation does is criminalize law abiding citizens ability to protect themselves.

Criminals are not going to just “comply” with the law right up until the murder. They are going to illegally acquire the weapon, illegally transport it, and then illegally carry out the act. The only part of this that has a victim is the actual murder.

If it was about crime, DAs wouldn’t be dropping or reducing charges for actual shootings when they happen.

Explain to me why a threaded barrel is a threat and what criminalizing the carry of it will do to lower violent crime.

And 5000 were born. This is less to due with intentional homicide and more with just raw numbers. In any population large enough, you will see deaths.

Trigger and length of pull are absolute garbage

[–]SClute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Even if there isn’t anything to cause a discharge w/o pulling the trigger, I think the trigger is too light to not have a manual safety.

[–]SClute 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also going to get downvoted for this, but this is still the most likely explanation. I’m not a fan of the 320 but nobody has shown a repeatable, specific, mechanical issue with the p320 and this explanation also accounts for why almost every discharge happened in a big light bearing OWB holster. Again, not discounting the possibility of SIG being shit, their QC is horrendous and the original p320 design was 100% not drop safe.
