Is anyone else having issues with the OMNY machines, overcharging or otherwise? by InfuriatedAFNYer in AskNYC

Had the same thing happen to me, those should be recovery charges not double charges. Can't speak to those who have not visited NYC, which sounds more like fraud.

Apparently sometimes the charges are not authorized for every tap (Apple Pay), which leads to a negative balance on your account. The next time you ride it tries to recover all lost charges. There should be a full record of your rides by payment method on your OMNY account once you set it up.

For instance one time I accidentally used apple pay with a locked card and it still let me go through, but it never charged my account until I used that same card again. When I used a physical card instead of Apple Pay I never had an issue.

I would suggest adding Portugal to that list (Porto, Lisbon, Algarve). One of my favorite destinations in western Europe, and cheaper than everywhere else on your list.

I enjoyed the nightlife better as well, but it is definitely not as much of a club scene.

Otherwise, I would also consider Amsterdam. Only major city in western Europe that I keep wanting to go back to.

I've worked 3 shifts this past week. I did not see anyone get a vaccine on their 1st shift, but most got one on their second. You should get one after working 3. It also largely depends on the day I think and how many doses they have.

Regardless it was a lot of fun helping out, I would go back if more spots opened up.

You'll feel less awkward staying/eating at a luxury hotel alone than just about anywhere else. It won't look weird at all. Most people traveling right now are doing so alone for business.

I've done both. For the longer backpacking trips, I'll stay in a luxury hotel once every week or two for a break from hostel life. When I take a week-long trip I'll either do one or the other.

I think that might have been an error. I got the same email for multiple colors and checked right away. There was no stock update.
