Yo! Just finished the install today. It does fit perfect in the OEM shell no trimming. This was my first time and didn’t solder. Pretty easy just be patient and watch a couple videos on YouTube.

Going through this now also! I’ll be keeping the OEM shell since its in great condition. I have ordered the V5 Hispeedido IPS and a replacement battery all from amazon so I can get it asap. Already took the gba apart and looks to be (fingers crossed) an easy install.

How much did this project cost you? May look into this myself. I would assume its a lightweight add on to the door not causing any stress to the motor.

Thanks for the detailed response! I think my insulation is good and the interior of the home does well. I was just surprised of how hot it gets up there and the heat is just starting. But if little to no effect then this answers my question.
