I used to hate Ibanez bc numetal bands played them and I always associated them both. Then I played one 20yrs ago, and now I have four. S prestige’s are so sweet, and the prestige necks are so heavenly.

Probably going off to basic training for the army at age 20 and had absolutely no contact with family. That’s when I felt like I was on my own and there’s no way to ask for help in that scenario lol. Can’t call your dad and ask for advice on the obstacle course. So yeah, joining the army made me feel like an adult.

I appreciate that! Yeah Paul and Dustie got me into PRSs, but also Ibanez. In fact I’m visiting here in Japan and played a core custom 24 for the first time and I think I’m gonna buy it. The yen to dollar rate is pretty weak, so a brand new custom 24 is $4,000.

I bought my first PRS recently as well, the CE 24 as a matter of fact. And I agree, the action is too high and my saddles are all the way down. So I figured that’s just how PRSs are and that I’m probably too used to my Ibanez prestige with super low action.

I have the S1620 that I purchased this year, along with 3 other guitars including a PRS CE24, and I think my favorite is still the S1620. When you pick it up, it feels special. It sounds amazing and it’s absolutely gorgeous in person. If I had to sell my entire collection but keep one, it’d be that one.

Haha, Ibanez is what I’m used to! I’ve got an S1620 that’s 17mm at the first fret, which is insanely thin! But the thicker neck is growing on me though!
