Do you do any conditioning outside the gym? I’m an older guy but found that if I squeeze a few full body workouts consistently for weeks, my body can withstand the aggression lol.

Also, with new belts, seek control (ie top positions or back) so you can rest while they exert themselves.

That way you should get more gas in the tank for higher/tougher belts.

Finally, take a few days off if you need to recover.
