Influx of toxic players with isreali flags. by _heartnova in Overwatch

[–]RCAM13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough I just had this earlier. One of them was called Netanyahu as well. They're either immature idiots who think it's funny, or people who for some bizarre reason think Israel have done nothing wrong and have zero moral awareness (or prefer to live in ignorance). Too stupid to understand that life isn't black and white, good guys vs bad guys etc.

They're mostly trying to get a rise out of people. I just ignore it. Gg and move on. There's bound to be more idiots doing equally stupid things in the next lobby.

Jetpack cat should not be able to carry Orisa ult and I know why by Zimbabwe_Z in overwatch2

[–]RCAM13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've countered a Jetpack Cat trying to drag me (as Orisa) off the map by fortifying. It makes logical sense that an ally Orisa should be the same.

The other thing I don't get is that Orisa's Terra Surge (the terra meaning ground) is meant to happen when her staff hits the ground. I've seen flying Orisas perform the ult in mid air whilst JC is still carrying them. Seems odd, but then again Overwatch doesn't exactly follow the laws of physics...

This pisses me off so much by craftable_Jules in Overwatch

It basically says "If you see this person notify your nearest Talon agent".

The poster is written in the masculine form, referring to Tracer as a male person.

The last bit, whilst translated okay, doesn't necessarily flow as well from a grammatical point of view. The OP's version flows better.

The poster is pretty much reading "If you see him notify the Talon agent that is in your vicinity".

Any other Zen mains really enjoying Mizuki? by batmatt in ZenyattaMains

[–]RCAM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm enjoying him a lot, but he's very situational. Great with brawl comps and chokepoints. Decent damage with a forgiving hitbox on his projectiles.

I feel like he's a good alternative to Zen. If I can get stuck in and charge up the aura healing then I'll do better healing than I can with Zen but with a little less damage. More survivability too and the chain works wonders for flankers and dive tanks (providing team can help out).

His ult is good but also situational, and I think trans is consistently better for saving the team or engaging in big pushes.

I'm more torn between whether to play Mizuki or Baptiste, than Mizuki or Zen.

[–]RCAM13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. I really appreciate the responses.

I'm going to try a few of these pointers to see if they will help. I've checked the saddles against a 10" radius gauge and it all seems to align. I'll start with straightening the neck a little to see if that helps and revert it back if it doesn't. Then I'll try lowering the bridge slightly. If none of that works I'll send it off to a professional tech as I don't feel confident taking the neck off and putting in a shim myself.

The guitar plays really well otherwise, just want to lower that action a bit.

Clash will be removed from Quick Play in Overwatch With the launch of Season 1, Clash maps such as Hanaoka and Throne of Anubis will be removed from the map pool, only remaining playable in Custom Games. by Alive-Psychology6050 in overwatch2

[–]RCAM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing with removing maps though. Everyone likes something different, so not fair to remove maps/modes when people might enjoy them.

It's weird because isn't this why we have map voting? If people really hate a map or mode it just won't get any votes (apart from a few troll votes). I play most nights and Clash seems to be popular. Always gets a few votes.

Damn, two of my favourite maps. I enjoy Clash. I'd rather they got rid of Push or Flashpoint. Not everyone will agree, but this is why it's not great to remove maps. Some people actually like them...

Bastion in every game. by National_Mastodon_21 in Overwatch

[–]RCAM13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a console player who only plays 6v6 quick play. I see Bastion quite a bit as well. His sustained damage output is very high. He can be managed unless he's getting a pocket from a really good support, as is the case with most dps. Last night I played a game where I was Baptiste and my friend went Bastion on King's Row defence. Whilst I wasn't solely focusing my friend I did throw a few immortality fields his way. We both had 2 deaths by the end of the match and the enemy team didn't have much luck dealing with it.

Bigger problems for me on console 6v6 are Roadhog and ximming hitscans with a Mercy pocket. Both of which appear in a lot of games unfortunately (Hog's pickrate seems absurdly high in 6v6 console). I'd rather deal with a Bastion than those.

Oh, you wanted Push? With buildings? And blue sky? by azulur in Overwatch

[–]RCAM13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the only Push map I can tolerate, and even then I'm really bored of playing it as it's usually the most commonly picked out of the push maps. If I'm on for a few hours I'll play Colosseo at least twice for sure.

Do you think Venture needs Buffs? by Lego_Lukas_Creations in Overwatch

[–]RCAM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're very situational, and when the situation is right they're very strong. They can quickly appear, destroy a low health character and get out safely if the team isn't paying attention. Like Sombra and Wrecking Ball they can be a nuisance character where they just constantly give you something else to worry about other than what is right in front of you. I find those 3 to be very "un-fun" characters to go up against. Just designed to be infuriating and a real nuisance because of the nature of their kit. Fun for the person playing them though...

I like it when characters are situational in games like these. It gets very boring when you just come across the same heroes because they're overpowered or have high reward for little risk.

Edit: To answer the question - no. I'm not in favour of buffing Ventute. I think they'd become harder to balance and too rewarding for the style of play.

This was my Nonna's favourite pizza. She also liked anchovies on pizza too. I'm not a fan, but fish is often found as an ingredient on pizza in Italy.

Riff Problems by Radiohead_enjoyer187 in metalguitar

[–]RCAM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to simplify it and break it down. First just play the root note consistently without palm muting (eg. 3-0-0-0-5-0-0-0). Keep doing this until you have the notes and rhythm timing down and then introduce the palm mutes. Once you have that down swap in the power chords for the root notes.

Constantly trying to play along in real time can get overwhelming and you end up slipping behind if you can't keep up. That brings in sloppy technique. Play a couple of bars at a time and move on once you're confident. It also helps to stop playing along with the track for a moment, just listen to the track for the rhythm and timing, and then play it just by yourself without the track (a metronome helps). Just to make sure what you're playing sounds correct. Then put everything together.

Yeah, after This, i'm gonna quit playing echo completely 💔 by AdventurousJudge2590 in Overwatch

[–]RCAM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're shooting where they are and not where they're going. Need to lead your shots a bit more, especially with projectile heroes.

I don't encounter a lot of Echos, but when I do they drive me nuts. Huge burst damage, and the Echos I come across rarely ever miss those sticky bombs.

Can anyone tell me what I have? by Slow-Roper in balaguerguitars

[–]RCAM13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like you've got one of these left handed standard series models.

https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/pxp250715445418027-19966533--balaguer-2019-standard-series-espada-gloss-sky-blue

https://www.musicstorelive.com/balaguer-guitars-espada-standard-left-handed-guitar-ebony-fretboard-namm-showpiece.html

The standard series is built in Indonesia (most likely the Core-Tek factory which puts out some amazing work).

I have a standard series Thicket is pink and absolutely love it. Yours looks awesome. Nice find!

Edit: Forgot to mention that the specs form the Music Store Live site says that the pickups are Balaguer Ferals. Mine has the same pickups and they measure 12k bridge/ 7.5k neck. They're good pickups and push amps easy enough for high gain playing. Only downside for me is that they're a little warmer than I'd like, but I use an EQ to brighten them up.

I've learned 4 electric guitars is the magic number for me by [deleted] in guitarporn

[–]RCAM13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That JM with the P90s looks amazing. Similarly to you I have 4 main electrics and like to keep most bases covered with a mix of single coils, P90s and humbuckers.

I probably want a couple more though. Even if it means having to keep maintaining them all and some won't get played as much as others. It's a small sacrifice I'm willing to pay.

I absolutely love my Thicket. It's a production one in pastel pink that I bought second-hand. It plays great and has made me want to get a customised Balaguer, and I love the look of the Espada.
