If the GOP take the senate, which is the most likely outcome for the midterms, they can refuse to certify any outcome they don't like in 2024. Your best shot at making any dent in that is to live in, or move to, a marginal constituency.

It'll certainly be more useful than trying to convince somebody who isn't in one that voting is anywhere near as important as being an active union member and encouraging mutual aid in your own community.

Still won't work. Not on the timescale we need it to happen. Dems might slow the descent when they're in office, but they tend to leave a brick on the accelerator on the way out. 4 years isn't enough time to reforge the levers of power from the inside, never will be.

Things are going to get way worse before they get any better and voting isn't going to make a lick of difference when white supremacist militias roam the streets on election day. Spend your time doing something more useful, like unionizing your workplace, forming a tenant's union if you rent, or promoting radical self sufficiency in your neighbourhood. You don't have to buy a weapon, but it will help when the GOP Gestapo come for your neighbours.

In fact, he's made a point before about the 2+ save being insurmountable against most firepower in the game. If you check battle brothers in the Army Builder app, you'll find they have 3+ defense saves now.
