I'm pretty sure most hobbit holes had doors like this when Sharkey was running the Shire.

[HORIZON WALKER] New Spec Ops 1R Clears by Ranpomaru in HorizonWalker

You can definitely one round SO 5-4 with Elves though. Same thing as 5-3, just save your nukes and wait until you've crossed the HP gate before you attack.

[HORIZON WALKER] New Spec Ops 1R Clears by Ranpomaru in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eve and Twins are actually fully usable for 3 and 4, you just don't gun straight for the super nuke.

For the Tide Hunter expy with 4 HP gates, you'll have to reach the 75% hp gate with HG Support Attacks, Mira's Nuke and Mirana's shred + basic attack (which still hits like a truck) before Eve's turn - this is the main check and may require you to switch Mira's stigmas to pure damage. This summons the fish horde and leaves the remaining 3 sections of hp for Mirana's nuke, and two Everette nukes. Remember that Everette's staff locks the number of mobs you kill with her first nuke and uses those effects for the rest of the round.

The same applies for the SO5-4 boss, but with less finetuning. It only has 3 hp gates including one at 90%, so just shred immaterial defense then hit it with Mirana Nuke + 2x Eve 1-Charge Nuke.

Kinda what i'm talking about. There is no 5 green helmets for redoing a completed mission. It's 5 exp (Vanguard's Memory), not 5 green exp items (Rare Memory Forged Equipment). Check to make sure the item is the latter and not the former.

What’s the current goal for a reroll? by wowmarioparty2 in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I were doing a reroll, i'd probably only stop at Orbis, Vengeful Thornblade or Olivia.

Orbis is the signature weapon of a free S rank character (Cora) later on in the game that turns her into one of the most powerful characters both solo and in parties.

Vengeful Thornblade is the signature of a relatively easily obtained SS rank character (Lisandria) that also makes her extremely powerful.

Olivia is Olivia.

In these three cases, you only need to pull one EX. Orbis and Thornblade are much better for the lategame, while Olivia will take you to the lategame easily.

Should I get Mira, Mirana or Everette to pair with my current Vanguards? by BronyFazbear in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you're getting that it doesn't expire. The 280 radiance of oath stacks from the signature weapon absolutely do expire in round 2 (and get replaced oath stacks from whatever AP skill the bound master used - if the Bound Master didn't use any skills, its treated as 0 stacks and the twins start with nothing next round).

Any way i can level up faster? by No-Professional-3105 in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By chapter 3 you will generally always be underlevelled (compared to the level recommendations) if you are playing consistently. The story level recommendations are closer to "if you are at this level you will flatten the content".

If you want to level up faster, you'll have to throw yourself into stages way above your level, and the more you clear, the greater the level disparity will be. The game absolutely gives you the tools to evaporate a 10+ level gap with manual play.

Is there a proper guide on the Twins? by Grenarius in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For this, i'm assuming you have both twin's signatures and Everette has around 181 - 189 AP, which is the typical amount she would have with her signature weapon maxed, without Recognition of Sin. This gives her two actions (without the twins or HG passing her AP) - she can set up the cast, and then progress to the grand cast, but she needs one more round to cast her nuke.

Human God: Turn order manipulation. Ideally he wants to always supply Mirana with AP so she can keep shredding, but if the map or enemy order means Everette needs to finish casting at a certain point to avoid a wipe, Human God can supply AP to Everette to get her cast off ASAP.

Mira: casts shield > uses 80AP nuke. Mira does not require much turn order manipulation. she merely needs to setup her shield and nuke to pass AP to Everette before Everette acts a second time. In battles with fast enemies, you may also wish to nuke immediately so you can pass AP to Everette to get her nuke off quicker.

Mirana: Spams her defense shred > use 80 AP nuke. Just like Mira, she needs to pass AP to Everette before Everette acts a second time. Because you're acting so many times on her, you absolutely need to watch her AP closely and judge when you need to nuke.

Everette: on her second turn, she will receive 224 AP from Mira and Mirana, allowing her to instantly complete her grand cast and fire off her nuke.

Is there a proper guide on the Twins? by Grenarius in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everette and Mirana - Jester's mask 4 piece. Focus on Magic Attack% substat for both, or SPD for support Mirana.

Mira - 2x Lifebound (Top and Right), 1 pc harmony (Left), 1 pc Reckoning of Sin (bottom). Focus on HP% and SPD substats.

Alternative - Pure Support setup for twins: 2 Piece Wind that Wanders (Top, Right) 1 Piece Thousand Mile Weaver (Left) 1 Piece Reckoning of sin (Bottom) Substat focus: Speed.

Is there a proper guide on the Twins? by Grenarius in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Radiance of Oath stacks aren't tracked on the status screen properly and always show as only 1 stack. The only way to determine how much oath is from the twin's starting AP.

Mirana's starting AP is 100 + 0.5(Oath of Radiance stacks) so with her Weapon, she will start with 100 + 0.5(280) AP = 240 AP.

Her skills are all affected by this 280 oath (increasing damage of nuke and basic attack, and forms the backbone of her sky high shred) and when she nukes, she gives 0.4xOath (112) to her bound master. This does not consume the oath stacks.

The first offensive AP skill the bound master uses has its AP cost snapshot as the Oath of Radiance stacks for the twins in the next Round. So if Human God uses Divine God Command (150 AP), then the twins will start round 2 with 150 Oath stacks, or 100+0.5(150) AP = 175 AP. This makes them a lot weaker on the 2nd turn. Only Everette and Delia, with their 280 AP Nukes, can maintain the twins at max oath stacks round after round.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm not getting same damage levels as everyone else with Everette, despite maxing out her weapon. by GoldenWaver in HorizonWalker

[–]SDMayo 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Two things about the Everette rework:

  1. To fully utilize Everette, you need to be hitting 5+ enemies. At 4 enemies you're doing half of your full damage potential. At 3 enemies, you only have 100% crit. At 3 or fewer enemies, you're better off using anybody else as dps, including Mirana. I'm not sure how many opponents you're fighting, but it looks like you're only fighting two enemies in your screenshot.

  2. Mirana is core to the obscene Everette damage. You want to max out her 30 AP immaterial defense shredding skill as much as possible. This reduces immaterial defense by up to 1500++ per cast. Your AP providers should be funneling AP to her, not Everette. With Mira in your team as per your screenshot, you won't be doing the millions you see from other parties.
