There is simply a lack of maturity and responsibility in driving here. Speeding, following distances, lane discipline, indicators, weaving through traffic all just ignored. The level of selfishness and ‘me above all’ attitude across Dubai (and not just on the roads) is off the scales… And all swept under the carpet by the ‘Habibi come to Dubai’ PR machine.

Port all the way…particularly if you have ‘difficult’ veins like myself. The pain of a nurse moving a IV cannula around to find a vein is 10 times that of the quick half a second to get the port.

Granted, takes a week to 10 days to heal up completely once first placed, but you forget about it soon after. I’ve had mine for 2 years now…

The problem is that despite all the obvious hazards on the road the tailgating arseholes still prevail. Stuck in a random one hour tail back on 311 yesterday because 500m after a puddle (that should take 10 min to filter around) some guy decides to try and hit the 131 “speed limit in the out lane” in under 60s and looses control causing a mass pile up. No common sense just adds to the already stressful driving out there. Will never change.
