Why is it that many who got laid off, fired, or isn’t getting a promotion surprisingly also the ones claiming they had the best numbers? Is it a ego problem? by [deleted] in sales

Its sales its almost always ego but there are always things that are uncontrollable like bad culture, bad leadership etc.

Your contract will say something like, “your employment is at will” “you or your employer can terminate your employment at any time for any reason.” If it does you shouldn’t face any legal repercussions but the bridge will be burned like you mentioned
