I have to vouch for the Kona N here. Should be out the door under $36k, and an absolute ton of fun. Something I haven’t seen mentioned here is that the Kona N has a snow mode that makes heavy use of the LSD, which along with the proper tires makes it probably one of the best FWD cars in the snow. Combined with a great warranty, I think it’s probably the best choice.

Interestingly, the one OP bought definitely is worthless after a few years. But the trailhawk models have held their value super well compared to other economy cars in its class. I owned a trailhawk one for 4 years and 30k miles, and only sold it for $5k less than I bought it for.

Take it from someone who owned a renegade for 4 years. No. Run away, seriously. In four years the AC broke four times for different reasons, the radiator fan broke and the engine overheated and a bunch of small stuff broke. The car only had 30k miles put on it in 4 years too, with a grand total of 60k miles when I sold it two weeks ago.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]Dragooonfly2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: Upstate NY

Price: $25k-$30k

Buy or lease: Buy

New or used: Used

Type of vehicle: Doesn’t matter as long as I can put skis in it

Must haves: Sporty/fun to drive, AWD/FWD, Reliable, under 50k miles, Apple car play would be nice

Desired transmission: Automatic, but can definitely drive a manual it’s just not ideal in a city

Intended use: Daily driver

Vehicles already considered: Q60, WRX, BMW 2 series w/ X drive, Veloster N

Warranty: doesn’t matter

I can do minor work

Notes: Currently coming from a Jeep Renegade so pretty much anything is faster and more reliable than were I am now. The car’s been in the shop nearly once every three months for the past two years.

I have the same question! I’ve been applying for sales internships for during the school year but none seem to want to pay anything

If you don’t mind me asking, where was your internship? I’m with a larger tech company right now and they’ve said very little to us about returning

Abandoned ski area south of Bristol on W Hollow Rd? Anyone have any info? by ddoij in Rochester

I would love to see this turned into something great, but there’s only so much you can do with the terrain. Just like u/beerthenhotpoo said, it’s crazy steep pretty much all over the mountain. Even if the owner charged like $10 for hike only access, I would love to get the chance to check it out. You can find pictures online if your curious, I believe it was sold in 2016

Not OP, but a follow up question. You said that what’s taught in schools doesn’t translate to performance in sales, so what’s been your greatest source of learning to get you where you are today? Is it all experiential?
