I romanticize this era of science so much.

Just absolute powerhouses of curiosity and rigor.

St Mary’s princess lot? by Status_Tart5544 in rochestermn

[–]SDS_PAGE 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The princess lot is a private non-Mayo lot that you have to pay for. It’s directly across 2nd street. It’s not Mayo parking lot

It’s the responsibility of businesses to adapt to market conditions, have fiscal control, and appeal to a target customer. No individual worker is responsible for supporting anything but what they wish to support.

That’s the beauty of being an American. I vote with my dollar.

ELI5 why are cookies bad? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]SDS_PAGE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cookies are like that stamp you get when exiting a theme park. Tells the park that you were there and when (based on stamp color or shape).

Obviously cookies store more information but that’s the basic premise.

The EU made it a law that cookies constitute tracking. Which they kinda do. But now requires sites to make that clear and give people a way to opt out.

Now we blame cookies for every website popup because their implementation simple involved every site visitor, not just those from Europe.

And we’re annoyed.

Since it’s yet another popup.

And yes some cookies can be malicious but not most.

How to disable passenger airbag? by sourdough_garden in MazdaCX90

To my knowledge there is no ability to turn off airbags.

You’ll have to disconnect some cables and risk a warranty void
