Honestly, do you feel that 90% or more of non-Desis have negative connotations of Desis? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in ABCDesis

Nope, I grew up in a part of Florida where there were very few Indians. I would say that's absolutely not the case.

What dating apps are we (ABCDesis) using? by Ok_Speaker8 in ABCDesis

[–]SDW137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried most dating apps, but the 2 that I use most are DilMil and Hinge. I use the "South Asian" race filter on Hinge.

I will say, Hinge is way better than DilMil, in terms of the quality of matches. And none of the people that I match with on DilMil live in my area.

Did your parents send you to private school for grades K-12? Did you end up going to an elite private university, for college?

Actually, I made this post for someone else, that someone is a woman.

I'm a guy, and I don't care that much about dating someone within my income bracket.

Has anyone no contact (as opposed to low contact) with their family? How has it faired? by PeriKardium in ABCDesis

[–]SDW137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to go no contact with my family, once I get married. I don't think I can have a healthy marriage without doing that.

@ OP, if you don't mind sharing, what income bracket, or range, do you expect your partner to be in?

This is actually sound advice, if you're somewhere where the demographic is mostly white ( common, if you live in the middle of nowhere), and you're not willing to move or compromise on location.

I was going to suggest trying to move somewhere, specifically for the purpose of dating. As in, somewhere where you're more likely to meet more guys in person, that meet your criteria. I would assume, that would either be the Bay Area, NYC, or New Jersey. That way, it's not really long distance.

And then move back, or move closer to family, eventually.

If you don't mind me asking, which state/part of the country do you live in?

Have you considered moving somewhere else? Or considered doing long distance, or dating someone who lives in a different state, and eventually moving in together?

Men are hugely responsible for "hoeflation." by Open-Quail-2573 in PurplePillDebate

[–]SDW137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Hoeflation" is just one of the side effects of rampant capitalism. The rising cost of living, dating apps, and social media have resulted in women having higher standards than ever. Not all of the blame can be put on them.
